XP-Series Extra Clearance Connecting Rod Bearing Set by King Engine Bearings®. These new premium engine mounting brackets have been redesigned to allow GM LS or Gen-V LT engines to be installed in the 1973-1987 C10/C20 Trucks. The modular design of these brackets allow engine changes from LS to LT w/ a change to the clamshell components only. The same mounting brackets, polyurethane inserts, and crossmembers fit both LS & LT engines. Hooker BlackHeart application-specific LS/Gen-V LT swap engine mounting brackets remove the installation guesswork and compatibility uncertainty that comes with using universal/adjustable swap plates. These brackets are designed for 1973-1987 GM C10 pick-ups to achieve optimized component clearances and drivetrain/U-joint operation angles when used in conjunction with the transmission crossmember and Hooker cast exhaust manifolds, and exhaust systems. Hooker BlackHeart long-tube headers will be available soon for this application. XP-Series is a unique tri-metal structure for race applications. The overlay is strengthened by a proprietary nano-scaled hardening process that modifies the molecular structure and creates a black fatigue-resistant shield.
