Legato Performance® LEX4217 - 409 SS Cat-Back Exhaust System with Split Rear/Side Exit

I like it, have had it a couple weeks now. I feel a difference in throttle response and it sounds good! Easy to install.

System arrived on time and well packaged. For under $400 you absolutely can not beat the quality and sound from this!!! I had a competitors system on and was happy, when I changed it out to this Legato system it was like night and day!!! If you want a serious grumble for your truck this is the best dollar for dollar buy!!! I also have a high performance air cleaner on my Silverado and with that and the Legato system my truck sounds bad*ss!!!

The Legato exhaust system is a great buy. I thought that the installation was some what easy. I didn't follow the removal directions and it is possible to remove the old exhaust from the truck (crew cab Chevrolet) without cutting the old exhaust. Did it in my garage with floor jack on frame near the rear tire (before the upward curve). Recommend re-tightening the clamps after the vehicle has been down the road and back. The exhaust is not that loud as others have described. Wife didn't know that I had switched the exhaust while she was in the cab. You can use normal tone to talk. As for gas mileage, I really can't tell the difference, but for performance, there is a difference. Thinking about programming the truck to stay in V8 mode instead of the active cylinder mode (switching back and forth from V4 to V8).

Sound is phenomenal. Installation on my 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Double Cab involved cutting off the v-clamp, or “ball clamp” as they call it, due to rust and grabbing a new one from Auto Zone. Also, the brackets don’t always securely fasten the pipes. Will need some welding to ensure a secure fit.

Great sound, all the parts were in good condition, i picked up fuel mileage and some pep, fit well under truck looks good as well. That is the positive. Now it would be nice to have stainless muffler and the higher grade stainless pipe and the clamp to the cat i had 8000 miles on the truck an had to break the bolt and then find a new metric one to put the clamp back on that is my reason for 4 stars on installation it is a little tricky getting every thing were you want it due to clamps and the amount of pressure you need to tighten them it is recommended you tack the system to lock it in place. I did not as i wanted to tweek it but may do that later one note i had to roll the muffler and put the muffler inlet on the opposite side than the pick.

Wow! I put these on thinking I would get some sound, but no, these are as quiet as stock. If you're looking for an aggressive sound, you need to keep looking! Also, whoever wrote the installation instructions has apparently never installed these. Do not make any cuts to your exhaust based on the instructions because they are WAY off.

I installed these axle back mufflers on my Camaro SS approx. 3 years ago using the stock 2 1/2" exhaust pipes. The mufflers were pretty easy to install however I had to bend the mounting hangers a little to make a perfect alignment. The car has had numerous other performance mods that do affect the overall sound. Full length headers, cat-delete, Texas Speed stage 2 cam package, roller rocker arms, K&N intake air kit, fluidamper harmonic balancer with 20% underdrive pulley, MSD ignition, and a few other goodies. The sound; They have an aggressive hot rod performance attitude especially when you stand in back of the car. The cam idle sounds absolutely awesome! When cruising down the road at 55 MPH you get a certain amount of "drome" in the interior under certain engine load and RPM conditions. That may bother some people so I need to point this out. Overall, I'm very happy with my Legato mufflers.

I put these on my 2015 SS gives the perfect sound. Not too quiet but not too loud. When you hit the gas it loudens up aggressively. Driving normal you get a sound above stock without being annoyingly loud. Great exhaust at a great price. Easy install as well.

Package arrived, well packed. Ended with a great sound and a great look. Everything in the middle was NOT great. I installed the exhaust in my driveway with the truck elevated. The instructions referred to part numbers as 4211-1, 4211-2 and so forth. Every part label on my order was "LEX4211". The sketch you see on this site is the only picture you have. During installation the clamps used 15mm and 16mm bolts... all mixed together. Very frustrating. Many of the clamps do not hold the piped tight at all. I think the instructions were written by the same guy that wrote the evacuation plan for the Titanic. My advice is to copy the picture/diagram on this site at the one on the instructions is faded and not clear. After installing everything spot weld all connections (which I did). Most importantly, if you are not mechanically inclined let someone else install this for you. After the frustration I did end up with a great sound and a good looking system.
