    Good Light, but Some Annoyances
    I just finished installing this new light (I got the "Fiber Optic LED" light) and now it works nicely and looks really good. I was a little worried it wouldn't be red since the plastic is clear unlike the old one, but no worries there: the light is red. I kind of like that the plastic isn't red, but the light is. Again, it looks good. OK, now the annoyances: the wiring plug from the car (I have a 2005 Suburban) has a little retaining clip that hooks over a matching node on the light assembly and ensures that the plug remains connected and never vibrates loose. Unfortunately, the retaining clip did not reach quite far enough to hook around the node, so it didn't help to keep the plug connected. No matter how much I adjusted and pushed the plug, it wouldn't insert far enough to engage the retainer. In the end, I filed back the plastic node a bit so the retainer clip didn't need to reach as far, and that worked OK. During the negotiations, the pins inside the socket got bent, and I had to straighten them with needle-nose pliers, but it seems there was no lasting harm here. So overall, I'm happy with it. It works, and it looks really nice. But it loses one star for the annoyances with the retainer and the pins.

    I just purchased this with my 2003 Tahoe, fits well, and works as needed. The only complaint is while plugging in my existing rubber seal was too big for the socket and I had to really jam in the switch. I'm hoping it will be good but we will see.

    Best Bang For Your Buck
    The lens is not really smoked, remember though, it's the 3rd brake light. The Bright LEDS make up everything. Fresh look on the Tahoe!!!

    Awesome Look For Awesome Price!
    This is definitely a great 3rd brake light for the price and definitely looks very nice too. I’ve had it on my truck just over two years and unfortunately half of my red LEDs just happened to stop working the other day which is odd but I’m just glad this only cost me $40 so I can get a new one very easily. If you’re looking for a great replacement for the regular 3rd brake light this is definitely the way to go, will be going down to 4 stars because the leds just went out.

    Looks Good
    This item looks good on vehicle. My only issue is that it doesn't quite fit flush, some sealant was needed.
