Dense fog can severely reduce your visibility and create one of the most dangerous driving conditions. Headlights on low beams don’t help much because their light just reflects off the water droplets that make up fog and switching on the high beams will only worsen that effect. Fog lights are more useful, but factory parabolic reflector fog lights with dim halogen bulbs may not provide the illumination you need to see the road. Fog lights are customarily positioned low on the vehicle where they can project a wide beam angled toward the ground, which reduces glare and helps you see the road better. These Lumen fog lights have powerful LEDs that direct their light using projector beam technology. With their small elliptical reflectors, projector beams produce a sharper, more focused beam of light without the scatter loss that is common with parabolic reflectors, which is perfect for fog lights. Together, the LEDs and projector beams produce a bright, white, wide and flat pattern of light with a sharp cutoff at the top of the beam, illuminating the road ahead of your vehicle – exactly what you need to cut through dense fog and enable you to safely avoid pedestrians, fallen tree branches, debris, and other obstacles.

In addition to producing light of superior quality, Lumen Projector LED fog lights are also more efficient and use less energy than halogen lights, and they last longer, 50,000 hours or more. They’re impervious to shock and vibration, so they’re perfect for vehicles used on off-road adventures. The rugged aluminum housings and strong polycarbonate lenses have an IP65 ingress protection rating against the intrusion of dust and moisture, for reliable operation under all weather conditions. These fog lights are constructed application specific for an easy, bolt-on installation. However, since LEDs don’t use as much power as halogen bulbs, some vehicles may exhibit flickering, bulb out warnings, or dashboard error messages when LED lights are installed in place of halogen lights. Resistors and/or CAN Bus decoders are available to eliminate such problems; however, they are not included and must be purchased separately.
