Founded in 1965 by entrepreneur Alan W. Lund, Lund International fist began making accessories for light trucks in the 1970s. The Deflecta-Shield Corporation merged with Lund in 1997, and today that company’s excellent line of storage boxes, bed protection products, and running boards are marketed under the Lund brand. Lund expanded its line of products to include interior protection when it acquired Nifty products, a design and manufacturing company for custom molded floor mats, trunk and cargo bay liners, in 2002.
