OEM Grade Diesel Particulate Filter by MagnaFlow®. Converter Configuration: Direct Fit. Catalytic Inlet Diameter: 3". Catalytic Outlet Diameter: 3.5". If your car needs replacement, install one that will get you through the smog check and give you more horsepower. This Particulate will directly replace the factory unit, with little or no fabrication required, and the monolithic honeycomb construction and other features will allow maximum exhaust flow.
When your Diesel Particulate Filter requires replacement, you can install a factory-like unit that will let you pass a smog check, or you can install a MagnaFlow Filter that will pass the smog check and increase exhaust flow. If you want to be legal and get a performance increase, the choice is clear. MagnaFlow is a performance exhaust system manufacturer, so they know all the tricks to increase exhaust flow for more power. They’ve also been producing catalytic converters for 30 years, so they’ve learned a thing or two along the way. All the exhaust flow knowledge they’ve accumulated has been packed into the design of this Direct Fit Catalytic Converter.
Besides incorporating features that increase exhaust flow for better performance, MagnaFlow also builds their DPF to last. The DPF body is manufactured from heavy-duty stainless steel for maximum durability. All DPF are seam welded close to the converter body for a strong, tight bond, not along the edge, which would allow the converter to expand and let the catalyst move around. And the aluminized steel or stainless steel heat shield creates a rigid wall of protection against heat and adds to the structural stability of the Filter.
