Product Details
SLM Series™ 409 SS DPF-Back Exhaust System with Single Side Exit by MBRP®. Exhaust System Type: DPF-Back. Exhaust Tubing Material: 409 SS. Main Tubing Diameter: 4". Exhaust System Sound: Moderate. MBRP's SLM Series is the ultimate in free-flowing exhaust systems, because they replace both the catalytic converter and any muffler in the stock system. MBRP's SLM Series exhausts are made with tough T409 stainless steel, which will outlast your truck. T409 won't take a mirror polish like T304, in fact it will show some minor surface corrosion after exposure to the elements. But rust through? Never. It's the perfect metal for a working truck's exhaust system; if you need a little bling just clamp a polished muffler tip on. Enjoy the improved performance and mileage afforded by these low-restriction systems for as long as you own your truck.
Installation
Don't let a restrictive factory exhaust system hold your truck back. Extra backpressure forces your engine to work harder to push exhaust out of the engine. And the freer-flowing your engine is, the more fresh air can be crammed into the cylinder on the intake stroke, which makes more power. That's why you can see both better economy and more performance from a new exhaust system. MBRP engineers and builds their systems so they fit right the first time. How many exhaust systems have you installed that needed a little massaging with a hammer to fit? Not MBRP!
