Engine Oil Pump Pickup Tube & Screen by Melling®. A new Melling pick-up tube/oil screen assembly provides the lubrication oil as well as protection for your oil pump from materials that find their way into the engine oil supply system. Contaminates enter your oil system via engine wear, extended time between oil changes and other internal engine sources. These contaminates can interfere with the proper oil flow and pressure spring functions resulting in engine damage and/or failure. Melling suggests that a new properly installed oil pump pick-up tube/screen be a part of every oil pump installation. Melling oil pumps provide dependable performance every time in every application. Every pump is engineered, manufactured and assembled to the highest material and production standards. Manufacturing processes include state of the art CNC machines and the latest phosphate coating processes. Melling oil pumps are manufactured from high quality materials. Gears are machined to close tolerances to ensure proper engine pressure and correct, efficient pump operation. End plates are precision ground for maximum ware resistance.

Depending on application and design, Melling pumps may use gear, impeller or the latest gerotor technology. When completed every Melling oil pump is individually tested for pressure and flow under conditions designed to duplicate actual engine operating conditions. In addition to OEM pump applications, Melling Select pumps are offered for increased oil flow, increased oil pressure, anti-cavitation capability, lighter pump weight and performance when needed. Depending on your oil pump requirements Melling Select pumps are offered in cast iron, cast aluminum or aluminum billet materials. Each Melling Select pump performance level offers a step up in material selection, engineering advantages and increased durability. All Melling Select pumps are designed to provide the highest level of quality and performance with a reasonable level of investment.

This warranty does not apply to any product that has been altered, tampered with, such as taken apart, misused, subject to excessive operating conditions, malfunctions because of foreign particles such as engine dirt or pieces of other deteriorating components, products used in a vehicle that has been altered for other than intended purposes. Also, performance products are not covered under this warranty including products used for off-road or racing purposes.

I was looking for performance pump for a long time and this pump is just what I was looking for. I bought it for my Camaro and it gives much-needed oil volume for my vehicle application. Great quality oil pump, fits and works perfect, oil pressure is excellent, it was ease to install this pump. Oil pressure is excellent even on a high rpm. Would recommend and would buy again.
