Product Details

High Performance Engine Oil Pump (10340) by Melling®. Melling improved the standard volume Ford Modular SOHC & DOHC V8 oil pump. Updates to the housing, cover, and components work together to improve the performance and durability of the oil pump. Updating the cover material to phosphate coated cast iron improves performance by increasing the pressure tightness of the pump. It can be used in any Ford application that uses Melling’s stock replacement M340 or M360 oil pumps. Melling oil pumps provide dependable performance every time in every application. Every pump is engineered, manufactured and assembled to the highest material and production standards. Manufacturing processes include state of the art CNC machines and the latest phosphate coating processes.

Melling oil pumps are manufactured from high quality materials in either cast iron or cast aluminum as specified by the OEM engine manufacturer. Internal pump parts are produced from sintered metal or steel. Gears are machined to close tolerances to ensure proper engine pressure and correct, efficient pump operation. End plates are precision ground for maximum ware resistance. Depending on application and design, Melling pumps may use gear, impeller or the latest gerotor technology. When completed every Melling oil pump is individually tested for pressure and flow under conditions designed to duplicate actual engine operating conditions. In addition to OEM pump applications, Melling Select pumps are offered for increased oil flow, increased oil pressure, anti-cavitation capability, lighter pump weight and performance when needed. Depending on your oil pump requirements Melling Select pumps are offered in cast iron, cast aluminum or aluminum billet materials. Each Melling Select pump performance level offers a step up in material selection, engineering advantages and increased durability. All Melling Select pumps are designed to provide the highest level of quality and performance with a reasonable level of investment.

Melling High Performance Parts – no warranty (will replace for defect only).

This warranty does not apply to any product that has been altered, tampered with, such as taken apart, misused, subject to excessive operating conditions, malfunctions because of foreign particles such as engine dirt or pieces of other deteriorating components, products used in a vehicle that has been altered for other than intended purposes. Also, performance products are not covered under this warranty including products used for off-road or racing purposes.

I was looking for performance pump for a long time and this pump is just what I was looking for. I bought it for my Camaro and it gives much-needed oil volume for my vehicle application. It is made of high quality materials, works better. It is works for what it was made. TRUCKiD service was great, no hiccups on delivery.

Great quality oil pump, fits and works perfect, oil pressure is excellent, it was ease to install this pump. Oil pressure is excellent even on a high rpm. Would recommend and would buy again.
