MOMO® - SK50 Series Gear Knob

So about this knob... Really good quality but the adapter to put it on the manual transmission post wore out vary fast like within a month of having it installed. We're really like this product too but it just keeps coming loose And would become crooked, And a distraction while driving. Ended up having to put the OEM no back on the post but now there are Spots in the thread of the post where the screws from the adapter held on and now the knob is loose..... Kind of disappointed

So funny story. I ordered the red option for my 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer SE Limited Edition (Will also fit a 2007 - 2015 EVO X). When it got here today, I briefly looked over the invoice that was taped to the box. Everything seemed perfect; one product. I opened the box to find not one, but two shift knobs. One Red and one Black. So I gave the other one to my sister's boyfriend for his 1999 Honda CRV. When MOMO says universal, they mean universal. Fit on both makes beautifully, and now we match. I would highly recommend MOMO for your AM shift knobs. If there was one downside, I would say that my order coming with two knobs was probably a one-off thing. But still, a very pleasant surprise! So, what are you waiting for?

The shift knob looks great. Feels like pretty good quality. Installation was super easy. The only downside that I would say is that it is universal. I think it should be made for specific applications. I also feel that it should be just a tad bit longer. Those are just my personal preferences though. Other than that it is a pretty decent knob. Feels great when shifting too. Way better than the stock knob that was on there.

It’s a lovely gear knob great feel and to the nuphy who gave it 2 stars no the button doesn’t click and that’s because it’s not a button and yes its for manual only that’s what it says

Tried this on my 2006 GTI and it doesn't fit. I've just emailed to see if there's an adapter to make it work. I was also disappointed at the humongous box this tiny shifter was shipped in!? Could have/should have been shipped in a padded envelope.

These universal knobs are junk, felt snug until I went to use it when it starts flopping around everywhere. Used the correct adapter (M8) and got the screws as tight as they go with zero success. So glad I waited 3 months for this to arrive.

Coming out of packaging it looks silver plated. Only when it's actually installed does the Gold come out more distinctive. Now the less it's not as bright gold as the pictures. Also it is "universal" mounted simply because it uses a rubber grommets to go over the stick and uses 3 set screws to grab. I used Loctite 480 and it held. However, during hot weather the loctite would melt/break and the set screws would be loose needing for it to be tighten down yet again. Haven't checked to see if actually damaged the threads. Without Loctite the vibrations of the car would easily loosen the set screws. In order to adjust the set screws you would need to remove the boot collar. In general the knob will set higher than normal because of this. The material is black leather around the sides and rubber on top. Metal as the color. But the metal seems to be coated with the color (obviously for gold but I assume the silver is aswell) much like cheap rings. But no chipping has occurred after 2months. No doubt if you knock it you'll see a chip and expose bare metal. Overall the quality is built really well and the feeling is very good as well. It's a good buy for a modern minimalistic shift knob

I've had it for about a year now and it's still holding up great, just a few scuffs on the chrome bits, exactly what you'd expect from normal wear!

I don't even have this product. I'm just writing a review to tell the one other dude who wrote a review and gave it 2 stars that he's an idiot. Of course you're going to be unhappy with a product when you don't even buy the correct thing because you're too dumb.

Mentioned that it's Tall, it's not tall at all. It's only 3 inches and the box doesn't say tall shift knob at all. Just says shift knob. And the center button doesn't click. It's just a leather top insert with the Momo logo. it doesn't mention that's its for automatic. I think it's only for manual, but I didn't read the owners sheets.
