Semi Truck OEM Spoilers
The faster the vehicle travels, the more it will tend to lift off the ground. Front and rear spoilers help improve vehicle aerodynamics and increase high-speed stability. Attached to the rear end of the trunk lid, a rear spoiler redirects the airflow around the vehicle body to both reduce drag and turbulence for better fuel efficiency and top-end speed and prevent the rear of the vehicle from lifting. Many people use the term "spoiler" interchangeably with the term "wing". But spoilers and wings are different things. A rear wing deflects the airflow upward, thus creating downforce that presses the rear wheels towards the ground, eliminating undesired lift. But with more downforce comes more drag. The rear wing has to be properly angled to create sufficient downforce while producing the least amount of drag.
The front spoiler, also known as an air dam, decreases the amount of air that flows under your vehicle to minimize turbulence and drag created by multiple cavities and protruding exhaust, drivetrain, and suspension parts. Instead of going underneath your vehicle, the high-pressure air is forced upwards where it travels around the sides and the roof. This creates a low-pressure area underneath the vehicle and a high-pressure area above it, which significantly reduces lift. As you can see, spoilers are critical to a vehicle's aerodynamics, so if your spoiler is wont out or damaged, swap it out with the genuine replacement offered on our website. Made by original equipment manufacturers, the spoilers we carry will fit, look, and function like the parts that came with your vehicle from the factory.
