Product Details
Universal Engine Preluber Filling System Kit by OTC®. Ensures oil is present to internal engine components on the first start of a new or rebuilt engine, or after major engine work is performed. Required to prime the oil pump and fill the oil galleries and internal engine components with clean, new oil. Connects to engine oil system at the oil pressure sensor on a variety of domestic and import engines.
Notes
- The 205965 is a 90° adapter fitting that can be installedbetween the adapter fitting and the flexible hose where space requires.

Applications
- When applicable, remove the engine oil filter, fill with cleanengine oil, and reinstall.
- Locate the engine oil pressure sensor and remove. Install theappropriate adapter fitting into the engine.
- Install the flexible hose to the adapter fitting and open the valve.
- Put a minimum of 2 quarts of approved, clean engine oil in the6492 prelube reservoir.
- Pump the handle on the 6492 in order to flow a minimum of 2quarts of approved, clean engine oil. Observe the flow of engineoil through the flexible hose and into the engine assembly. Close the valve, and remove the flexible hose and the adapterfrom the engine.
- Reinstall the original engine oil pressure sensor to the engineand tighten to the proper torque value.
- Top off the engine oil to the proper level prior to starting theengine.
