Anaerobic Gasket Maker (51845) by Permatex®, 300 ml Cartridge. This non-corrosive, fast-curing, single component gasketing material is developed primarily for use on aluminum, steel, and iron flanged mating surfaces. It fills gaps up to 0.015" and cures to a solvent and temperature resistant seal in the absence of air between close fitting surfaces that will not tear or decay during operation.
If a conventional gasket is unavailable, or if you have to make on-the-spot and emergency repair, the Anaerobic Gasket Maker by Permatex is your number one choice. This OEM specified product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting surfaces and provides a tough, resilient seal that flexes with flange movement caused by pressurization, vibration, or thermal changes. The product is ideal for aluminum, steel, and cast iron flanges. Parts disassemble easily even after extended service. Typical applications include transmission pans, thermostat housings, water pumps, O-ring replacement, etc. Old gasket material can be removed in minutes with a simple putty knife. The product is registered in the NSF White Book, which is the listing of substances and compounds reviewed by the Public Health and Safety Organization and validated to possess safe and non-toxic properties.
