Ranch Hand® SBF081BLSL - Sport Series Full Width Black Powder Coated Rear HD Bumper

I ordered this 08 F250 bumper to modify and install on a 2000 Excursion. Upon first impression, the welds and powder coating wasn't the greatest. There were bubbles in the welds and pieces of welding wire left and powdered over. The step hole in the side ware way to small for my foot and the coating flaked off as soon as I put my foot in. I had the bumper sand blasted back to bare metal, zinc coated and then painted to match the truck. I added on some D-Ring Shackles and better backup lights. It came with Opt 7 Oval LED backup lights, but I installed stop tail turns instead. I don't have factory backup sensors, but my cheap aftermarket system fit perfectly. I didn't like the old style license plate lights because in order to get a good ground, they need to contact bare metal, which will lead to rust. I bought a set of screw on LED license plate lights instead and they covered the holes perfectly. In order to make it fir the Excursion, I had to cut about 6 inches off of the mounting bracket and drill new holes. All in all it seems to be a nice setup.

It would be real nice if there was instructions or better info and materials to install my parking sensors - these grommets are extremely tight, I ended up boiling some water and let them sit in it to loosen up so they were more pliable. How can I get 1-2 extra, is there a specific size I can find? Also no info included about the wiring for the reverse lights, tag lights I got but having issues with the other. One additional which would be best suited for the manufacturer; the harness clips and push in holders would be nice to have some drilled out holes to snap them in.

My old bumper seemed to be the target of every car (large and small) in the parking lots. NOT ANY MORE! Solid exceptionally crafted fine AMERICAN STEEL! I love it! Bought the front bumper to match.

Only useable with factory reciever, unless you go buy longer hardware and machine spacers, or use multiple washers to fasten to frame. Lights are cheap for the price of the bumper. May have to grind of powder coat to get the liscence plate lights to ground. Two wire lights would prevent needles rust.

Awesome looking bumper. It feels and looks well made. Installation was simple for myself.

I have one spot on top of bumper with poor paint application that is starting to rust. Other than that very well made and great looking. Love the steps in end of bumper.
