I received my first side steps and noticed scratches to the metal after being on the phone with customer service and put on hold several times and waiting several days for a reply via email as well as declining a thirty dollar partial rebate a new package of running boards arrived these were also damaged and scratched to the metal. If you are looking for a high quality running board that will hold up and not come damaged these are not it.

The product arrived sooner than expected and was in perfect condition. It was packaged extremely well and looked great once installed. This is a good looking set of steps and I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. Ordered on a Sunday and got them Thursday of the same week. Got the light kit too but not on the truck yet. Oh yes, put them on Thursday night too 1 1/2 hrs.

I just put these on the truck tonight. The directions are easy to follow. However, I would not put 20 pounds of torque on because one of frame bolts broke. It was easy enough to remove with a pair of needle nose pliers. I would go to the hardware store and change the bolts to something that is a little more durable. The runningboards give my truck a great look.

These arrived on time, and I was looking forward to installing them on my new Ram Rebel EcoDiesel 4X4. The material they are constructed of is about half the thickness of what I was expecting, and then realized that they were made in China. I thought I was buying an American-made product, not an inferior Chinese product. Installation went pretty straightforward, and I did it by myself in my driveway in about an hour. I was missing some of the hardware (some plastic washers that hold the brackets in place when mounting them on the truck), and I had to use two-sided tape to complete the install. So typical of cheap Chinese products. All in all, the side steps look nice, but even adjusting them to their highest possible position, they still need to be raised another inch or so to close the gap between the truck rocker panel and the top of the side step rail. If you are a big off-roader, these won't work well for you because the foot step hangs down too low and will surely sustain damage if ground clearance becomes an issue. If appearance is your primary concern, I give these side steps a 3.5, and they would get a 4-plus if they tucked up a little higher and up to the truck rocker panels. Ease of install is a 4, and if I had all the parts and didn't have to get creative to overcome the missing parts, the install would be 5. Durability is yet to be seen, and I suspect any moderate off-roading they are going to get damaged mostly because to the thin metal they are made of (I'd guess maybe 16ga). I would give them a 3-star rating right now. Overall, I would give these steps a 3.5, and will probably be replacing them with something more durable when (not if) these get thrashed (and my off-roading is pretty mild mostly on dirt roads and trails...no rocky stuff). I hope my comments help with your buying decision.

Received my new boards in four days which is great considering they were shipped across boarder to Canada three weeks before Christmas. Installed them right away without any difficulty. They were packaged well and look amazing on my new truck. So happy I got these when I compare them to factory boards. Instructions were great but hardly needed. All holes were pre-drilled and threaded in the rocker. I highly recommend this company.

Great looking bars and completely enhanced the look on my 4Runner trd off-road.

It looks great! Gives my truck the off-road look I was looking for! My wife appreciates the extra step up too! Installation was really easy. Just put the brackets, which are labeled, on the existing studs on the truck and mount the steps on the brackets. Completed it during halftime of the Ravens game haha.

I had troubles finding a body-mount bar for my truck, but once TRUCKiD and the manufacturer helped me feel comfortable with these, I pulled the trigger. Customer service and shipping with TRUCKiD were great, and I got an amazing price thanks to a flash sale. Once the bars arrived, I had so many troubles installing them. Total time was about 7-8 hours, but about 4 of that was due to issues with removing my original rocker panel mount bars. Total time once everything was off was about 3-4 hours. The instructions supplied by the manufacturer were intended to be universal, but ultimately ended up being confusing. For instance, it says to ONLY use the factory original mounting bolts, but once I install the rear spacer, that bolt is about 1.5" too short. Ironically, the manufacturer includes two longer bolts that fit, so I ended up using them (x2) on the rear bracket. Following the instructions exactly as indicated (as much as I could tell), the driver's side bar ended up being 1" out of level, sloping down from front to back. However, using the identical instructions (as indicated by the manufacturer), the passenger bar went on with NO issues, and ended up being only about 1/16" out of level - good enough for me! Seeing that this was possible, I again removed the Driver's one and and used the extra spacer washers to help shim it up close to level. It is now just slightly less level than the passenger's side one and looks pretty good. After all that work, the bars are very sturdy, look great, and sit higher than I originally expected. They run from the front wheel well to the cab/bed separation on the back and sit about 6" below where the doors meet the body. Because the bars are such good quality, I am happy with the purchase and would buy from Raptor again, assuming the manufacturer fixes the instructions/parts list.
