Rear Shock Absorber Extension Brackets by ReadyLIFT®. Quantity: 2 per Pack. These shock extensions allow you to use your original equipment shock absorbers after you have lifted your truck 3".
These shock extensions are designed for use with the factory shocks on '99-10 GM 1500 trucks with 3" rear lift blocks. When you raise the chassis of your truck, there's more to it than just lifting the springs. The original shocks are set up for the original ride height, and probably don't have enough travel to accommodate the new ride height and a big pothole at the same time. A shock absorber was never intended to by what limits downward suspension travel. A big pothole or whoopsie will at the very least damage the shock by overextending it. Eventually, this will make the shock fail, or pull it out of its mounts. One solution is to get shocks that are long enough. That's expensive, especially if you have a new truck with new shocks. This adapter simply bolts to the upper shock bracket, and allows you to retain the original shocks.
