    Solid build but a bit stiff
    Good quality, but the spring is a bit stiffer than I expected. It holds the hood up well, though I have to apply more force than before. I’ll keep an eye on it over time but so far it’s reliable.

    Hood stays up securely
    Needed to replace the driver-side hinge on my 2020 Suburban after the hood started drooping. This spring does exactly what it’s supposed to do - no more issues with the hood falling unexpectedly when I'm working under it. Saved me from an annoying problem. Would recommend.

    Quick fix for hood issues
    Bought this to fix the passenger-side hinge on my Escalade because the hood was dropping fast when I opened it. Now it stays up securely, and I don't have to worry about it slamming down while I'm checking things under the hood. Overall, a simple fix that made life easier.

    Decent spring but over priced
    I think the spring is well-made and it fits fine, but honestly, $20+ seems high for a small part like this. For something so basic, I would expect it to be a little cheaper. Works as needed though, no complaints on function.

    Smooth Operation
