Installation

By design, all gas charged lift supports start to fail over time. They are typically out of sight and out of mind until they no longer function the way they used to. Strongarm gas charged Lift Supports are intended for use ONLY in motor vehicles as set forth in the Strongarm Vehicle Application Listing of this catalog. Use in any other applications is improper and may lead to malfunction and serious personal injuries. With respect to any application other then those listed therein, the manufacturers make no express or implied warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. When used in accordance with the Strongarm Vehicle Application Listing, AVM warrants the Strongarm Gas Charged Lift Support against any defects in manufacturing or workmanship for a period of 12 months from installation. AVM warranty is limited to the replacement of the unit. There is no obligation to replace a pair as a result of the failure of one unit. Cost of removal and installation is not included in the Warranty. Subject to Commonwealth or State Acts or regulations, all other warranties, conditions and liabilities on the part of AVM Industries and its Agent are hereby excluded and confined to the above Warranty Statement; for any warranty implied by law, the liability of AVM Industries Inc. U.S.A and its Agents, will be limited to the replacement of the products, excluding costs of removing and installing the replacement products.

The right to inspect a Product and/or sub-component to determine if it has failed because of a defect in workmanship or materials is expressly reserved. No other warranties, guaranties, or representations of any type (express or implied) are made, and all warranties (including any implied warranties of reasonable care, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose) are disclaimed. This warranty does not cover labor charges. All incidental or consequential damages, from any cause whatsoever, and any such liability, is disclaimed. The sole remedy for any claimant under this warranty shall be the repair, replacement, or credit for the Product as determined to be defective by the authorized warranty inspector (and in the sole and final discretion of the authorized warranty inspector). Any liability for damage arising out of or related to a Product, the purchase of a Product, or the installation of a Product (whether for breach of contract, tort (including, without limitation, any negligence or strict liability), or any other claim or cause of action), is limited to the repair, replacement, or credit of the Product (in the sole discretion of the authorized warranty inspector). The liability limitations contained in this warranty shall inure to the benefit of all sellers, retailers, distributors, suppliers, wholesalers and manufacturers of the Product and sub-components.

Explorer Tailgate

Finding replacement Back Glass Lift Supports was a little complicated for my 2002 Eddie Bauer model. Seems there were two different parts for vehicles produced before and after March 2002. After trying parts from a different supplier and having to send them back (at my expense) I discussed the problem with TRUCKiD. They guaranteed that the parts would fit and they did!

Easy Fit. Very Strong

This was a very easy swap. These are the third set I have put on and the first RhinoPac. I have the Land Rover ladder install and these lift supports are by far the strongest of the three I have tried.

These installed in five minutes and are far superior to the originals. Only regret is not buying them sooner - would have saved a few bumps on the noggin. Visited strongarm website to verify sizing for my vehicle, which has a great configurator.

Get a Stick or Something.

Pretty easy to install 12mm I think. Hardest part was holding up the hatch during install.
