To get better off the line acceleration, and more stump pulling grunt you can feel in the seat of your pants, your engine has to make more horsepower, and for that it needs large quantities of cool air flowing into the intake. But that's exactly what it's not getting from your stock air intake system. Your stock system is a compromise dictated by noise restrictions and other requirements that resulted in an air filter that is too restrictive, an air box inlet that is too small, and an air intake tube that has sound baffles and makes awkward bends that restrict airflow. To get the power and performance you crave you need to lose the stock pieces and replace them with this polished aluminum air intake kit.

This system starts with a large, high flow, conical air filter. The surface area of this filter is much greater than the stock unit for a huge increase in airflow. It's made of woven synthetic fabric for maximum airflow and superior filtration, and when maintenance is required it merely needs to be washed with plain water; no degreasing or oiling is necessary. The filter is shielded from engine heat by the black powder coated heat shield, enabling it to take in cooler air. Cooler, denser air contains more oxygen, and more oxygen in your engine's air intake charge means better combustion, resulting in greater engine output.

The increased airflow continues with a large diameter, mandrel bent aluminum intake duct that funnels the air into your engine through its smooth, free flowing tube. Mandrel bending ensures the tube stays the same diameter throughout its length to eliminate restrictions, and the highly polished finish makes this system one that you'll want to show off.
