Product Details
Stainless Steel Front Brake Hose (16734.05) by Rugged Ridge®. These braided stainless steel brake hoses will improve your stopping power, resist abrasion, and their increased length is ideal for lifted vehicles. Front hoses sold in pairs. Meets or exceeds DOT MVSS-106 regulations.
Stock rubber hoses can expand when you apply the brake pedal. Instead of the full force of the fluid going against the brake pads or shoes, it's expanding the hose, reducing your stopping power and causing a spongy feeling pedal and it only gets worse when the brake fluid heats up. Rubber hoses are also much more susceptible to impact and abrasion damage, which could cause the hose to fail and leave you with reduced braking power. And if you're planning on lifting your Jeep, you'll need to replace the brake hoses anyway, because the stock length hoses can stretch and snap on a lifted vehicle at full suspension rebound.
The solution to all these situations is to replace your stock rubber brake hoses with these braided stainless steel hoses from Rugged Ridge. They're constructed from a Teflon inner hose with a braided stainless steel exterior covering, and stainless steel hydraulic fittings. The braided steel covering is supple enough to flex with the suspension, but also rigid to prevent hose expansion. The result is a firmer brake pedal and stronger stopping power. As an additional benefit, the braided stainless steel covering will resist impact and abrasion damage out on the trail, so you'll have complete braking power when you need it. Finally, these hoses are up to 4" longer than the standard rubber hose, so they'll work perfectly on a lifted vehicle.
Rugged Ridge braided stainless steel brake hoses are backed by a 5-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
