Front Driver and Passenger Side Bumper Bracket Set (332-84BU) by Sherman®. Value Line. Whether you're doing a restoration or just need a quality replacement for your worn out parts, use Sherman bumper brackets to bolt on the bumper to your vehicle. They are made from the same materials as the OE to have the proper strength and durability needed to support and position the bumper properly for the correct factory appearance.

A bumper is a shield made of steel, aluminum, rubber, or plastic attached to the front and rear end to protect you and your vehicle in a crash. Apart from ultimate protection, this component is the outermost and most visible part of the vehicle which can make or break the overall aesthetics. Bumpers and their underlying components commonly suffer impact damage in even a minor collision as well as wear out after years of use. What is covered - Sherman offers a limited lifetime warranty on its replacement products such as bumpers, fenders, hoods, grilles and other automotive and truck replacement parts. Radiators are also lifetime to the vehicle's original owner. Accessories carry the full factory warranty from date of purchase. Sherman guarantees its parts to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which the part is installed and only when installed in accordance with accepted industry standards. This warranty includes perforation (metal rust-through) due to corrosion in normal use. If failure should occur, or a metal part develops perforation, a new part will be provided without charge. Sherman offers a limited lifetime warranty on its North American plated chrome bumpers.

Sherman offers a 3-year warranty on all of its gas tanks and condensers.

Sherman offers a 1-year warranty on all its overseas plated chrome bumpers. This also applies to those parts, such as door handles, tailgate hardware, cooling fan motors and hydraulic struts which are, by nature, subject to varying degrees of use and wear.

What is not covered - This warranty does not cover labor and other incidental cost involved in installation. Furthermore, this warranty does not apply to any product failure or rust-through resulting from:
1) Accident damage;
2) Improper installation;
3) Damages during shipping;
4) Misuse, abuse or alterations in any manner;
5) Installation without proper undercoating, sealing, or painting;
6) Rust due to overtightening of the bolts on chrome bumpers resulting in cracked chrome around the bolt holes. These bumpers must be installed by hand to torque specifications.

Sherman shall not be liable for any accidental or consequential damages arising out of the use of its parts. It is strongly suggested that parts be inspected and test fitted prior to painting or undercoating. Sherman assumes no responsibility for any cost incurred in refinishing, installation or removal of a product.

Sturdy but Tricky to Install

The bracket kit is undeniably strong and has held up well so far. However, the installation was more complicated than anticipated. As someone who's fairly new to DIY auto repairs, I struggled with aligning and securing the brackets on my Dodge Ram. Ended up needing some extra tools and a helping hand. It's a good product, but be prepared for a bit of a project if you're installing it yourself.
