Coolant Reservoir (Degas) Cap by Sinister Diesel®. Upgrade one of the most overlooked components in your Powerstroke cooling system with the Sinister Diesel Billet Coolant Reservoir / Degas Cap. Factory coolant reservoir caps are exposed to years of heat and pressure cycles. Over time, the cap and sealing components can deteriorate and may no longer maintain proper cooling system pressure. The Sinister Diesel cap replaces the factory-style cap with a durable component CNC machined from T6-6061 billet aluminum. More importantly, we didn't change the pressure specification. Our cap is rated at 16 PSI to match the factory rating, allowing you to upgrade to billet aluminum construction while maintaining the cooling system pressure Ford intended. Maintaining proper cooling system pressure helps raise the boiling point of the coolant and allows the system to operate as designed. A worn or improperly functioning cap can contribute to coolant loss and inconsistent system pressure. The cap is compatible with the factory coolant reservoir as well as Sinister Diesel welded aluminum coolant reservoir tanks, making it a simple upgrade whether the rest of your cooling system is stock or modified. Finished in signature Sinister Blue, it's a functional upgrade that also adds a clean billet detail to your Powerstroke engine bay.
