    Product Details

    XRC Atlas Full Width Black Powder Coated Rear HD Bumper with Hitch (77897-01) by Smittybilt®. This bumper is the latest design from the Smittybilt R&D department. The raised corners provide impressive ground clearance, while the swing-away tire carrier can accommodate up to a 37" tall tire with space for gas cans and/or an off-road jack as well. It's manufactured from thick 3/16" cold rolled steel and features a tow-rated Class III 2" receiver hitch and D-ring mounts. The chiseled lines and dual stage textured black powder coat finish will look great on your Jeep. Direct bolt-on installation.

    This bumper is the ultimate combination: It has raised corners for impressive ground clearance off-road, but has also undergone extensive design and testing to meet stringent international pedestrian safety standards, so it's also the perfect bumper for cruising Main Street. Designed for maximum strength and functionality, the stylishly chiseled shape will also make an attractive addition to the front of your Jeep.

    The innovative 3-piece design is manufactured from 3/16" cold rolled steel, and features a lower design winch plate for greater airflow, a bolt-on skid plate, cutouts for the factory fog lights, and solid D-ring mounts that are welded on the inside and outside. And for the best appearance and long-term durability, the bumper is acid dipped to remove impurities, a special "E-Coat" is applied inside and out, and finally a dual stage textured black powder coat finish is applied.

    Designed to be a direct bolt-on installation, the XRC Atlas comes with marine-grade stainless steel hardware. It's covered by a 5-year limited warranty against finish defects and a Smittybilt Advantage limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

    Looks awesome and built to protect the vehicle. D rings set it off got red d rings to off set the look.

    Good Quality But Be Aware CJ Owners
    Received product in a fast manner. Very good welds and finish. All hardware present for mounting. Installed on 82 CJ5. Upon attempting to mount tire found that the bolt pattern was not 5x5.5 (CJ pattern). Had to order adapter from Smittybilt which works but sets the tire (15x8, 3.75 b/s, 33x12.5) out so far that it will not snug up to the tire carrier cross bars. Will have to modify.

    Heavy Duty Bumper, Painful Installation
    Bumper is amazing quality. Solid build and looks great! Class IV with 2" receiver. I am nothing short of impressed with this bumper. My only complaint is the lack of instruction. There's a very broad parts listing, but little to no identification of specifics. Many bolts, nuts, and different types of washers of varying lengths and sizes, which are thrown into a couple of bags unlabeled. Believe it or not, there are many many parts that end up not being used. The same is true of the tire arm. I received parts that were nowhere to be found on either of the accompanying instructions, or YouTube.

    Smittybilt Atlas Rear Bumper
    This is definitely heavy duty bumper, it's heavy. You will need a helping hand when you will install this beast. After all hard work is done bumber/tire carrier look awesome and work flawless (hinge adjustability will eliminate rattling). I am very happy with look and quality of this product.

    Bumper With Tire Carry
    I love how it looks once we finally got it one. Some of the holes for bolts didn't line up very well. We had to get creative to get all the bolts on. What really bothered me is the tire swing was extremely misaligned. We had three guys sitting on a pry bar to try to get the tire swing bend enough to get it to lock. The handle does cover the bottom right corner of the license plate where my registration sticker is at. Despite all the struggles to get installed it's a great quality bumper and looks great! The instructions that came with were not the best. It looked like it was a copy of a copy of a copy. The pictures were black and white and of poor quality. I went online to find clear colored pictures which made it easier to understand what to do. For how much I spent I think the company should be able to provide legible instructions.
