The lock cylinder is fine and works as promised. Shipping was fast and I had no problems with the seller at all. I would recommend TRUCKiD

Will Work for Kia Rio's With the Rare Immobilizer Option With Modification Required.
I installed a US627L on my 2011 Kia Rio5. The OEM ignition lock cylinder jammed with the old key between accessory and off and was not able to turn in either direction. My car is one of the few Rio5's that has a factory installed key chip immobilizer installed. The US627L can be easily modified to install the original OEM Kia transponder, The first thing to do was remove the rubber cap that displays key position from the Ignition Cylinder. I had to take the transponder off the old ignition cylinder and remove it from the key chime sensor harness and reinsert it into the new harness. Special tools for removing and inserting the terminal pins into the harness was required. Second, the Ignition Cylinder comes with 2 keys, however they're not chipped, so they won't work with the transponder. I got the lock recoded to match the doors by an automotive locksmith and had a new key made. The Transponder installs to the new ignition cylinder with 1 gold screw and reinstalls into the car as normal. Install was a little clunky to figure out as communication with Standard Motor Products revealed that they had no idea there is second generation Rio's with a transponder. Once installed, the cylinder functions and looks like the OEM.

Tru-Tech Ignition Lock and Cylinder Switch 2004 Honda Element
My Element ignition switch locked up and could not remove the key. Had it towed to the dealership for repair. The shop manager called me and said, "Before I order the ignition lock and cylinder I want to clear the price with you. It will be $861.00!" I choked and said, "Hell NO!" Got online and found TRUCKiD and they had my part! The price was $265. if I remember correctly. Ordered it and the dealer installed it for labor, $161.50!! It is working perfectly and I am a happy soul!! Thanks TRUCKiD!!!

Perfect!
I received my order yesterday and installed it on my 2002 Mazda Protégé today. The one day shipping offered is great and beat all auto retailers in my area by a week with at better price too, especially the dealership! This lock cylinder is a quality made product. It's identical to the OEM part and heavy for a small part, a great sign of not being made from inferior materials. The installation of this part is pretty simple on the Mazda Protégé. When I removed the old lock cylinder it came out with broken pieces off the lock cylinder assembly. That told me it was a big part of my problem and the new lock cylinder works great! The purchase and delivery were smooth as butter. Thank you!

Just Right
The lock cylinder fits and works just fine, plus, it shipped quicker than expected. My local hardware stores don't cary the key blanks, so I'm going to have to get creative if I want more than the 2 keys that come with the part.
