If you’re in need of a replacement you can prevent engine overheating and expensive damage with a new Stant radiator cap. They’re made from premium materials to OE specifications.

The radiator cap does far more than just cover the opening in the radiator. On modern vehicles the radiator cap pressurizes the cooling system to raise the boiling point of the coolant. The cap allows excess coolant to flow to the coolant expansion tank when the engine is hot, and back into the radiator when the engine cools. The cap should be inspected and tested every time the cooling system is serviced. Check the cap seals for cracks and other signs of damage, and pressure test the cap with a cooling system tester. A defective cap will not be able to maintain its rated pressure, allow the coolant to boil and cause the engine to overheat. A faulty cap may also not allow coolant to transfer back and forth between the expansion tank and the radiator.

Warranty

Stant Corporation warrants qualifying Stant products against all defects when used on private passenger cars and light trucks under normal operating conditions for as long as such original purchaser owns the vehicle on which they were originally installed. Stant Corporations’ obligation under this warranty is limited to replacement of the defective product in accordance with this warranty. Cost of removal and installation are not included, and any incidental and consequential damages are excluded under this warranty. This warranty has no cash value. This warranty does not apply to products which have been modified, improperly applied or installed on vehicles used for commercial or racing purposes.

Damage to the product due to abuse, misuse, improper use, inadequate maintenance, or failure to follow published installation, use and service recommendations automatically voids this warranty.

THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ANY OTHER WARRANTIES, LIABILITIES, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES AND OBLIGATIONS, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, ON THE PART OF STANT CORPORATION. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Any implied warranties you may have under state law are limited to the same duration as this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and exclusion may not apply to you.

Limited 90-Day Warranty

All other Stant Corporation products are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase by the original retail purchaser. This warranty does not cover defects caused by improper installation or normal wear. Stant Corporation will, at its option, repair or replace any Stant branded product which it finds to be defective in material or workmanship. Damage to the product due to abuse, misuse, improper use, inadequate maintenance, or failure to follow published installation, use, and service recommendations automatically voids this warranty.

Cap

Fits like a charm! Snaps in tight but easy to "pop off" when I need to check the coolant level! Feels pretty sturdy, too!
