SteelCraft® 241200 - 3" Black Round Side Bars

Great price and quality construction, but be warned... These are not what the picture shows. Picture shows a double curve on the bar, the Steelcraft logo on the grip pads, and single forged brackets. I received 2 piece brackets, a generic grip pad with no logo and a single curve on the bars. I got tired of driving my X-Terra without side bars, so I installed them anyway. The only difficulties with installation was the passenger front wiring harness pinched, but a clip of the zip tie that held the wiring harness to the frame and it fit like a glove. The bars themselves were labeled wrong. The driver's side was labeled passenger's side and vice versa. The curved end goes to the front. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience and the look fine on the car.

These look good and can't be beat for the price. Installation went ok, with a couple of hiccups. First, the passenger side bracket (towards front of the vehicle) is a tight fit against a wire harness that is also there. It fits, but crimps the harness a bit. Second, the instructions do not describe all of the washers that need to be put on certain parts. More frustrating was the crush washers (large) that are so stiff you can't put the nut on the end if you used a washer on each side, which the instructions don't say to do but given the supply of 24 washers, I believe it is intended. I ended up leaving out one washer of the two on each of these bolts since I could not get the nut on with both. Either the bolt is too short or the crush washer is too stiff.

The side bars look good on my Nissan Xterra. I found that the instructions were easy to follow and installation was easy as well.

I was more than happy with the cost of the running boards and the quality and the ease of installing them! They arrived very quickly like within days of ordering them and quite easy to install prob took a little over a hour after reading instructions and laying out the parts . These also came with all the hardware needed for the install unlike some others out there. And TRUCKiD had the best price period no one even came close .

High quality product for a great price! Customer service was outstanding as well.

Instruction left a bit to be desired, but simply enough to figure out. Had to remove the old ones form 21 years ago as they were about to fall off. To remove old ones, you'll need a cutting torch! Or a cut-off wheel.

These side bars are beautiful! Reasonably priced. Thank you.

These steps were extremely easy to install, about 15 mins a side. Will say it worked out great to have a second person to hold them in place while getting bolts started. Coating on the steps looks very good which mine are black. Side steps aren’t for everyone but at the end of the day makes getting in and out of the truck easy.

The bars look great and only took about 2 hours to install. They are defiantly very sturdy and should stand up well.
