SteelCraft® 103800 - 6" STX100 Series Black Running Boards

I bought these running boards at a good price from TRUCKiD and they arrived quickly. I wanted them for our new Chevy Traverse to help me reach the roof rack and the front window for cleaning. They look great on the vehicle. I do not have a lift so I installed them laying on my back using my old mechanics creeper. I'm getting a bit on the older side and am glad my wife stood-by passing me the hand tools, etc. Jumping up and down quickly to get stuff is no longer an easy task. I followed the plan sheets and the installation went well. The most tedious part was digging out the foam from the frame with a wire to install the support plates. I really liked the fact that no drilling was needed to install these well built running boards. The stainless steel edge with the black rubber tread looks sharp.

I installed these running boards on my Chevrolet Traverse with the help of my son. We got both sides on in a matter of hours. The mounting brackets slipped right in to the body of the truck with the only minor problem of digging out the expanding foam. I love the way they look and feel and they compliment the look my truck.

The best part about this product is the combination of black rubber and come trim.

Boards were shipped quickly. They looked great and the install was easy. I'll be back to purchase when i'm looking again.

The running boards loo very nice and the fit was good . A little challenging to install but not that bad . Doug with TRUCKiD did an amazing job and I would recommend him if you order from this company .

Fit perfect very functional but also made car look classy the chrome detail really made it look nice.

Perfect fit for 2025 Pathfinder. Besides lifting a heavy suv on jack stands for clearance and disconnecting lots of screws for both sides underneath covers, the installation overall was very simple. The brackets for both sides are stamped "Barney style" for specific spot to mount and all hardware for the left or right side comes in plastic with a specific color for either side only. After the installation the side bars looks like it was already mounted at the vehicle factory.

No flex when I step on them and black color looks great against my new 2025 Traverse. Feels like a quality upgrade without ridiculous dealership prices.

I installed these yesterday and they look great. Took a few hours as I did it myself but it's well worth the effort. My wife is the one who really wanted them to help her get in the vehicle. I weigh 235 and these hold me up just fine, I stood on them after installing, no creaking, they're just solid. Mine didn't come with instructions so I had to ask TRUCKiD for a copy.

The running boards appear to be well made and are attractive. The hardware set is not what is shown on the web page. The installation instructions were found wanting in several areas: 1) The instructions state that they are for 20-21 Ford Explorer, but were apparently written for the 2020 model as are incorrect for the 2021 model. These instructions have you remove the plastic side panels, but offer no instructions on how that is done. In addition, the side panels really do not need to be removed to install the running boards. Messing with the side panels adds several hours to the install. 2) The photos in the instructions are barely legible. 3) The 10mm hex bolts and Clip nuts are poorly finished. The threads had to be chased using a tap & die set. 4) The running boards themselves are mislabeled. We found that the one label "Left" actually was for the Passenger (Right) side and vice versa. 5) SteelCraft 6" STX100 running boards were ordered. However, Viewpoint Running boards of similar design were received.
