    Product Details

Black Powder Coat Tail Light Guards by SteelCraft®, 1 Pair. The rear light guards proclaim the rough and tumble readiness of your vehicle, making clear that this is no soccer mom bus. The SteelCraft rear light guards stand off from the vehicle to make a clear statement. Easy installation.

    Installation

It is true. It is not often you damage the rear lights. It does happen, and today's advanced rear light assemblies are quite pricey. Mounting tail light guards is much cheaper and does protect your tail lights from shopping carts and if you suffer a light rear-ending. This provides a good excuse when you really yearn for the great style of tail light guards. The SteelCraft tail light guards are the most stylish of all, with their thin profile cage and the way they really stand out from the vehicle to give that true, rugged protective cage look.

    Good Product- Easy Install
The instructions weren't the easiest to follow but once I figured out what they were saying, installation was super easy- much easier than I thought after reading the instructions. Also, the product looks great. I've had the guards on my 2010 Xterra for about two weeks now and even after getting saturated with snow and road salt, they remain flawless.

Tail Light Guard for the 2013 Nissan Xterra
Excellent design and fairly simple install. Two items to make things easier. First, replace the original plastic tail light screw inserts that you are going to secure the metal screws into. The ones that are on my new 2013 were very cheap plastic and did not do a good job securing the guards. I replaced them with a heavy-duty plastic version from a license plate frame holder that is the same size square and fits and holds the guards perfectly and securely in place. Second thing would be to replace the round-headed metal screw that you attach behind the tail light with a flat headed screw as someone else had recommended. Otherwise, love them and they really make your Xterra stand out from the crowd!

    Xterra Taillight Guards
These guards are heavy duty. When you get the guards, make sure the bracket did not get bent in shipping. The installation is easy. I would coat the steel guards with wax or other protectant before the installation. When you install the little tab use a flat head screw instead of the round head. This will let the tail light fit back on the car better.

    Nissan Xterra 2010
Great look, easy installation. Tail light housing screws and washers aren't exactly flush with housing itself, but that isn't visible when hatch is down; very minor cosmetic detail, but I'm picky. The installation does call for drilling in the body of your vehicle, however, by reversing one clip on each side, this drilling is avoidable. I would recommend this product, as the price is lower than the competition, however, I still feel these are overpriced.

    It Does NOT Fit Perfectly
I agree with the previous review, the light guards are easy to install but they do not fit as perfectly as one would hope. If I try to attach the small bracket it pushes the guard in so much that I can't close the door without damaging it. I decided not to use them and they more or less fit without any issues but they do stick out a little bit and I don't have that extra support so if I was to hit the guard would completely bend in.

    It Does NOT FIT Perfectly
Overall quality is fine. But it does not fit perfectly. I cannot attach 3rd bracing to my stock tail lights. Is needed to create a new one.

    Looking Good
Just a little bit of confusion about delivery. Except for the passenger side which requires adjustment, installation was easy. Other than that it looks good on my 2013 Toyota Tacoma.
