T-Rex® 6451111 - X-Metal Series Black Brushed Baja Bars

I decided to upgrade my stock grill because I just didn't like the look of it. This T-Rex grille looks so much better. I also believe the mesh will keep more bugs out compared to stock. I have yet to confirm that, however. The square spaces in the mesh are 1/4"x 1/4". Pros: Removing old grill is not that hard to do but with a caveat (I'll get to that in the cons). The fitment to the existing front of the truck was almost perfect. The hardware fit very well including the housing or bracket for the radar unit. The emblem fits in the radar bracket just fine. The stealth look is impressive. Cons: This con is not about the grille. It's about the emblem and some ineptitude on my part. You must handle the removal of the emblem with extreme care. There are 4 plastic tabs with barbs that need to be squeezed to disengage the emblem from the old stock grille. The plastic tabs are very fragile and unforgiving. They will break very easily if you are not careful. I was too hasty and too rough on the tabs and the result was I broke 2 of the tabs. I decided to take the Tacoma in for a re-calibration since I couldn't say for sure it didn't need it. I double checked the radar LDS after the recalibration and all seems to be working fine. Here is another mistake I made. I didn't check the new emblem installation when I got to my truck after the re-calibration. One day, a few weeks later, I thought I'd pop the hood and peek in there. Sure enough, one of the tabs was broken. That issue needed to be addressed immediately and I should have checked....... probably before I even paid the bill. So, now I don't really know for sure if the dealership broke the tab or it happened sometime later during normal driving. But so far, just 3 tabs are holding the emblem in place just fine. Overall, it turned out to be a very expensive affair but it looks so awesome on my Tacoma and I learned what not to do and what to watch out for. Hope this post helps the next guy or gal.

I got this grill for simple fact that not everyone has it, great lighting and looks fantastic. I get lots of compliments, great job.

Unless you're prepared to be extremely frustrated and are willing to damage your bumper/grill in the process don't buy this. It is one of the worst and most difficult to install items I have ever bought. Once it actually is on it looks cool but I don't believe it is worth the money and frustration.

Wasn't expecting a lot for the price. Turned out to be a great grille. Fit perfectly, zero issues there. I personally don't like chrome so I eneded up sanding and painting and that came out great with no issues either. I only wish there was a black option from factory.

Easy install. Minimal cutting! Love it.

Great product overall gives car a new look. Besides the freak accident when I was driving long distance which was the headlight covers coming off. Customer service was helpful but response time is just long from T-Rex. Still happy with the product, however.

Product fit well.

Product instructions were spot one. A couple of extra steps needed for securing however. The alignment tabs at bottom require drilling the factory molded grill to allow tabs to drop in place. The side inserts require trimming of the wire mesh to reinstall the backing on the grill. I left these off and it looks great. Great product and makes the truck look mean. Recommend. Easy installation and looks great.

I installed this on my 2018 Titan. It didn’t assemble the way the instructions showed but with a little bit of trial and error, I got it done. It looks awesome!

The product was just what I wanted and it was because of the ease of installation compare to some other chrome grille installation. I was extremely satisfied. I just wish that the lower grille was available in this model chrome grille.
