    Product Details

Custom Daytona Style High Rise Tailgate Spoiler (WT-14238) by T5i®. Your car will have a more dynamic look with this custom designed rear spoiler. It will enhance your car's appearance, if not its aerodynamics, without looking like an add-on afterthought. This spoiler is made from the same quality material from which the factory spoilers are made, and it comes with everything required for installation.

    Installation

At high speeds a spoiler provides downforce at the rear of a car, and in some cases it may even improve aerodynamics, depending on the shape of the car. The distance between the rear edge of the roof and the back end is very steep on some cars, disrupting airflow and increasing drag. This distance can, in effect, be lengthened or the slope made gentler by a properly designed spoiler, which will prevent airflow separation and reduce drag. Most people, however, install spoilers more for appearance than functionality, and to that purpose the Custom Style Tailgate Spoiler does not disappoint. It will give your car the look of speed even when it's parked!

The Custom Style Tailgate Spoiler is made of strong and durable material. Material is impact, chemical and heat resistant, and widely used by the Original Equipment automobile Manufacturers (OEMs) for body panels.

The CCustom Style Tailgate Spoiler is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. The paint is warranted for 3 years, not including normal wear and tear.

    Tailgate Spoiler Painted Flame Red
American Truck in Woodbury Heights, NJ, installed the tailgate spoiler and the job was done perfect. It looks stunning and the key is it was installed on a leer flat cap. With this installation it does not interfere with the loading and unloading of the truck bed. An extra foam piece was installed under the end pieces since it was a 1/4 " longer on each side.

    T5i Rear Spoiler, Wing, Valance
I ordered this wing a few weeks ago, because I wanted a more finished (4Runner'esq) look to the back after owning this since new. It took a while to get here, and I just installed it last week. Some things to note. It has a slightly different look than the pictures for both this t51 and the alternative Pure! version. I've attached a photo, but there is less of a shark fin profile, and more of a concave step on the side (I hope that makes sense or the pic shows it). Overall fiberglass work is passable, but if you look down the "cutting edge" of the spoiler, you can definitely see some waviness. Not recognizable from the back, more visible side. Mounting...I went with Gorilla double sided 38lb tape, instead of the bolted version. The bolts provided are just self tappers into the fiberglass of the wing itself, and the rear door is double walled. So, without cutting a sizeable access window or a much longer screw with exposed head, I didn't see a good way to keep it waterproof. We'll see how it holds up. Conclusion: Overall, the look from the very back of the vehicle is much improved in my opinion. Side profile is passable, but not the aesthetic represented in the pictures. It definitely appears to be taller than it does stretching off the back. If it bugs me, I may modify it down the road to more hang off the back and reduce the height. Hope this helps.

    Love It
Love this spolier. Its subtle but adds just enough pop. My only issue I had was the 3M wasn't sufficient enough. I had to also add a silicone adhesive around the edges to prevent water getting inside of my trunk but that also could've been my lack of knowledge on how to install something like this. Theres always a first time for everything lol. Otherwise, the quality is great and its really nice looking.

    Does Require Drilling-Looks Great
Got this for my 2015 corolla. It DOES need to be drilled in although it says it doesn't. It really looks good on my car and I'm happy with it.

    Loving the New Look
I purchased the unpainted spoiler and had my paint guy paint it black to match my rear louvers. I have to admit, I work at a dealership and did not have to do any installation myself but it looks amazing.

    Perfect Color Match
The color match was perfect. Spoiler came with all hardware needed. Hardest part was drilling through the multiple layers of the Z's deck lid.

    CARiD Answer:
Hello. Please open the tailgate and you will see a safety wire coming through a grommet and wrapping around the tailgate striker on each side. Remove the black plastic clips holding the wire on. Remove two bolts that go through the underside of the bedrail into the spoiler. Slide the spoiler towards the rear of the truck, and then pull it straight up off two remaining pins.
