High Steer Tie Rod and Drag Link Kit (4923300) by TeraFlex®. The TeraFlex TJ replacement high steer tie rod end kit includes two tie rod ends, two drag link ends, and 3 tapered sleeves. This will allow the tie rod to be ‘flipped’ over the knuckle to increase ground clearance and provide additional protection for the tie-rod and give an additional 3" of tie rod clearance. If ‘flipping’ the tie rod, this kit will require drilling the driver side knuckle taper to a 3/4" hole. This upgrade will only work with the TeraFlex High Steer Kit, or users with the TeraFlex High Steer knuckle. The complete TeraFlex TJ: High Steer Drag Link & Tie Rod End Replacement Kit with Insert Sleeves includes all of the components needed to raise or “flip” the tie rod over the knuckle to increase ground clearance an additional 3’ for added tie rod protection. The kit can also be used to rebuild an existing High Steer HD Aluminum Drag Link Kit and High Steer HD Aluminum Tie Rod Kit.
Stock Jeep tie rods and tie rod ends have a couple of failure modes that Jeep drivers all know about. If they make it back out of the woods in one piece, they're likely bent from hitting a rock or stump. That will give you a terminal case of pigeon-toe, causing massive understeer. Or they'll break or pull out of the socket, letting the affected wheel wander on its own, like a drunken sailor. Good luck gettting out of the woods when that happens. TeraFlex has stronger and more durable steering parts for every application.
