Product Details

Universal Velotrack Frame by Thule®. Bringing your bikes – whether it’s e-bikes, mountain bikes, or fat bikes – has never been this comfortable. Thule VeloTrack has a load capacity of 60 kg and long, sturdy rails that can hold tires up to 3 inches and provides ample space between your bikes so that you can load larger models and heavy e-bikes. An innovative strap system adapts to any bike frame size, ensuring secure transport with minimal effort. The Thule VeloTrack requires no drilling for installation and can be easily dismounted at the end of the season. With the optional lightboard accessory, the rack can be mounted at the lowest position on the van, keeping the taillights visible. This lower position makes it even easier to load heavy bikes, as less lifting is required.

Thule Trunk Mount
The trunk mount is a good product, but it does not work on the Volkswagen CC. The side straps does not stay in place and slides down the trunk. I believe it's because the CC trunk is more circular as appose to boxy or somewhat square at the bottom of the trunk.

Got this bike rack for my mom for Christmas and it's wonderful! She had a bike rack previously but when she purchased a 2013 Hyundai Elantra it did not fit properly. This bike rack is great and works awesome on her vehicle. Very satisfied!

Great Product

Thule Raceway Bike Rack (Trunk Mount)
I am delighted with this bike rack and its performance. It is a heavy duty, well-made, quality product that is perfectly designed and very sturdy. It was purchased to transport my (one) bike from Massachusetts to Florida on my 2013 Nissan Altima, and I am very happy with the choice I made. The directions and illustrations in the manual required me to re-read several times to get the rack installed correctly, but once installed, it was clear that I made the correct choice for the long haul.

The product appears to be well-made, but the instructions are generic. It will hold two bikes as advertised.

Great Product
This is an excellent product. I had some trouble figuring out how to install and needed some help figuring it out. Once I saw how to install, it was simple to put on the car. The only problem I had with the product description was it did not indicate in more simple terms that I needed an extra part. I have a 'girls' bike and do not have the bar that goes across the top from the seat to handlebars. It states it holds a standard bike, I thought I had a standard bike. I had to purchase this part and wished I knew that when I bought the rack. When I discovered the problem, customer service was excellent and prompt. They steered me in the right direction, and I was able to use the rack. It is very sturdy, and I do not have any fear hanging the bike on my Malibu and driving around.

Thule Gateway Trunk Mount Bike Rack
Although I was told this product had the locking feature the same as the Archway, I was very pleased with the product. It's a little heavier than I was told but not so much that I could not handle it myself. The instructions were easy enough to read, but the pictures were very misleading. It showed the anti-sway cages on the same side, which logically did not make sense to me, so I removed it, and it's broken. I had it right the first time. The anti-sway cage breaks very easily, and I had to replace it, but the cage itself is extremely inexpensive. I had to get the parts from my local bike dealer, as Thule themselves was sold out, which tells me, the cages are commonly broken. All in all, the color, style, and fit are great. I got an excellent deal.

Quality Product
I purchased the Thule Gateway bike rack from the TRUCKiD website just prior to relocating from Southern California to Southern Oregon. I stowed 1 road bike on the made-for-2 rack and traveled over 700 miles at speeds exceeding 80mph, no problems. I took it upon myself to watch video reviews of the installation before departing. This is definitely advised, one if not the best way to ensure the installation is correct, will stand the distance and speeds.
