When the throttle closes and the intake system is under pressure, the high-pressure air entering the motor will bump into the closed throttle plate and a pressure wave will travel back to the turbocharger. As a result the compressor wheel stalls and slows down very quickly resulting in premature bearings wear and shortened turbo’s lifespan. It means that the turbo will take longer to spin up the next time when the throttle is opened. A blow-off valve (BOV), or a vacuum-actuated valve designed to release the air to the atmosphere, releases pressure from the intake tract of a turbo car when the throttle closes. In case any component of your BOV or its hardware is damaged or worn, you can buy its parts separately including a banjo nipple replacement, blanking plug, off valve weld flange, O-rings, etc. This product is specially designed to replace your damaged component restoring the BOV to maximum performance.
