Product Details

Secret Weapon Aluminum Neo Titanium Short Ram Air Intake System (306-111-401) by Weapon-R®. The Secret Weapon Air Intake System uses patented technology to feed the engine 3 times as much air as other systems. As a result, engine performance is increased more than with any other system available.

Installation

Weapon-R® - Universal Bracket Installation

To create an air intake system with the highest airflow possible, the engineers at Weapon-R experimented with basic laws of physics. They found that by creating two different air velocity profiles in the intake tube, both traveling at different speeds, it increased overall air speed and volume to the engine, naturally feeding the engine 3 times more air than a conventional air intake system. To implement this patented technology, Weapon-R CNC mandrel-bends 6061 aluminum to the desired shape, and then polishes it to a show quality finish. The intake tube is then matched with Weapon-R’s Secret Weapon air filter. The Secret Weapon air filter features a tuned velocity stack to increase velocity and decrease turbulence. The dramatic increase in airflow results in a greater increase in engine performance than would be possible with any other air intake system.

Every Secret Weapon Air Intake System comes with everything necessary for installation including comprehensive instructions.

Weapon-R® Ram Air Kit II turns your air intake system into a Ram Air Intake. The Ram Air Intake brings cooler air to your intake system. Cold air is denser and contains more oxygen and cooler engine air inlet temperatures result in more power. Furthermore, the Ram Air tube is made from a high temperature fire resistant plastic, to resist heat soak which robs horsepower from your engine. The Ram Air Kit is easy to install. Just connect the hose to the top of the air filter, mount the velocity stack in the lower part of the grille and attach the hose.

Good Results, Rough Installation

Did not come with MAF sensor so I had to cut off the old one and jimmy rig it onto the new one but I got it to work somehow. The intake does not reach the air box so it worked out that I used the old intake with the MAF sensor to get enough reach. The OEM filter I feel is better than the filter they gave me but the intake does its job.

Overall this product does what it is supposed to, the appearance of this product is great, it looks very unique under my hood. My mpg is a little but worse but my car sounds somewhat louder and has a deeper growl.

Better as a Short Ram.

I recently received my Neo-Ti secret weapon and installed it on my 2011 Scion Tc. Long story short, after testing it as both the short ram and having the plastic tubing installed, I noticed a loss in pressure and acceleration with the tubing. I am running it with tubing till I can get a vented hood, because it draws in too much hot air otherwise. After the hood, definitely going back to short ram. Massive difference over stock air box and Spectre air filter. Plus the Neo-Ti is gorgeous under the hood.:) Hope this review helped! :)

2009 Mitsubishi Lancer

I guess your paying for the looks. This intake did not come with a heat shield like the Takeda & K&N do. It also doesn't come with a support bracket like the Injen. You really gotta hope the couplers will withstand time and the elements, cause that's the only thing holding this intake together and acting as the support for it at the same time. However, it does sound better than my Injen short ram I had on my '06 Mazda6.
