Yakima® 8001118 - BlockHead™ Locking Truck Bed Bike Rack

A pickup bed is a great way to transport a bicycle, but loading usually requires getting out rope or tie-downs to tie the bike down, and if it comes loose while underway it can become damaged. A fork mount is the most stable way to carry your bike, with a skewer holding it firmly in place. The BlockHead Truck Bed Bike Rack will provide your bike with the stability it needs for safe transport, and it can be mounted in your truck bed or on any flat surface, so it's also ideal for inside a van or on a trailer. Installation requires drilling, and a drill template is supplied with the instructions along with hardware recommendations, but hardware is not included.

The BlockHead will transport one bike secured by the fork dropouts, and accommodates most bikes with standard 100mm x 9mm quick release front hubs. It includes a single-sided adjustment skewer with long throw, for easy bike loading. Manufactured from anodized aluminum, to resist corrosion and provide many years of service, the BlockHead is also available with a locking skewer to prevent bike theft. The locking skewer comes with an SKS (Same Key System) lock core and key.

Yakima's fork adapters (sold separately) can be used to transport bikes with thru axles on the BlockHead. The rack comes with comprehensive, illustrated instructions, and it's backed by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
