J-cradle style racks are perhaps the easiest to load roof top carriers, and transporting the kayak on its side, where it’s most rigid, provides the most stable and secure method of transport. Carrying the kayak on its side also leaves room on your roof rack for other gear. These lightweight, durable, steel J-cradles have closed cell foam upper pads to protect your kayak during transport, and Dynaflex rubber base pads to both protect the boat and keep it from sliding around. You get everything you need to secure your boat including heavy-duty tie-downs for attachment to the roof rack, and bow/stern tie-downs to secure the boat to the front and rear of your vehicle. All tie-downs have padded buckles to prevent damage to the boat and your vehicle.

The HullRaiser comes in 2 versions, a standard model that comes ready to mount to round and square crossbars, and the HullRaiser Aero, which includes universal hardware, enabling it to fit factory crossbars as well as round, square and aero bars. The HullRaiser Aero is optimized for aerodynamic bars. Comprehensive, illustrated installation and user instructions are included with both HullRaisers, and they’re covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
