Yakima® 8007138 - OffGrid™ Medium Roof Cargo Basket

This cargo basket is so useful, once it's mounted on your roof rack you won't ever want to take it down. Sized for small and mid-size vehicles, this basket has the capacity to carry gear you don't have room for or may not want to carry inside your vehicle, including luggage, camping equipment, sports gear, gas cans, and off-road accessories. And the dimensions of the basket can be expanded with the addition of an optional extension. A cargo basket is really great for odd-size items that can be difficult to secure on a roof by themselves. Load them into the basket and secure with the optional cargo net and you can be on your way.

The OffGrid and optional extension are manufactured from durable galvanized steel tubing that is further rust-proofed by powder coating. With its universal attachment system it mounts quickly and easily to virtually any rack system including those with round, square, factory, and aero crossbars. A custom wind fairing is included to reduce noise, making the basket an unobtrusive addition to your roof rack.

Another reason your cargo basket can remain in place is that its crossbars will accept Yakima accessories. The basket's crossbar spacing makes it an ideal platform for Yakima boat, ski, and bike carriers. And speaking of carriers, Yakima has developed a line of accessories that enable the OffGrid to carry a spare tire, off-road lights, axes, shovels, and a Hi-Lift Jack. The Locking Bracket is another option that is available to prevent the theft of your basket from the roof rack. It locks the basket to the crossbars and includes 2 SKS lock cylinders and keys.
