Yakima® 8001185 - OverHaul HD™ Shadow Edition Truck Bed Towers

Transporting cargo in a pickup bed generally limits you to what you can fit in the bed. Anything oversize usually requires that the tailgate be left open, or have items rest on the tailgate with it closed. Ordinary overhead rack systems are great for transporting oversize loads, but they’re generally aimed at tradesman and lack versatility. Now you can install a Yakima rack system over your pickup bed and be able to carry a wide range of cargo, including all Yakima accessories, with Outdoorsman 300 crossbar support towers.

These towers are available in 2 heights, 26" tall for compact pickups, and 29" tall for full size trucks, and they come 2 towers per package. Install a set of 4 towers in your bed with 2 Yakima round crossbars and you can carry up to 300 lbs. of gear. The towers are designed to clear your truck’s roof, so there’s no problem with carrying lengthy loads like ladders, kayaks, or canoes. For really long loads, install a set of roof rack towers and another crossbar on your truck’s roof, or pair the roof rack crossbar with just one set of bed towers and a crossbar. The Outdoorsman towers clamp to your truck’s bed rail with the included hardware, with no drilling required, so they can be positioned as necessary so you can get the required crossbar spread for the gear you’re carrying. Pads are included for the towers’ base to protect your bed rails. Crossbars must be selected according to truck width and are not included.
