Universal TubeTop (8002531) by Yakima®. The TubeTop enables kids' bikes, girls' bikes or any bikes with non-standard frames to be carried on Yakima trunk, spare tire, and mast style hitch bike mounts. It mounts quickly and securely to the bike's seat post and handlebar stem to simulate a horizontal top frame tube. Featuring large molded collars that are gentle on your bike's finish, the TubeTop can support a bike up to 45 lbs. on single and dual arm mounts.
Installation
It used to be that if you wanted to transport a kid's bike, girl's bike, or any bike with a non-standard frame, your rack choices were limited to an upright roof bike rack or a tray style hitch carrier; designs that transport the bike on the wheels. But thanks to the Yakima TubeTop, now you can carry these bikes on trunk, spare tire, and mast style hitch bike mounts, which support the bike on the horizontal top frame tube. The TubeTop mounts to the bike's seat post and handlebar stem, simulating the horizontal tube.
The TubeTop installs quickly and easily, with large molded collars that firmly grip the seat post and handlebar stem while protecting the finish. It has oversized diameter tubing and anti-rotation inserts for greater stability, and it adjusts for length to accommodate various frame sizes and designs. The TubeTop will keep your bike solidly mounted on both single and dual arm mounts.
