Product Details

Dura Grip™ Rear Differential (YDGC9.25-31-1) by Yukon Gear & Axle®. The Yukon Dura Grip provides aggressive yet smooth traction to give you the confidence & performance you need. Get longer life and better traction with the heavy duty Yukon Dura Grip Positraction. The Yukon Dura Grip uses a nodular case and forged 4320 internals for added strength along with composite clutches for high performance and long life. All units are Rebuildable and many offer upgrades to increase aggressiveness for racing applications. The Yukon Dura Grip an example of the popular clutch plate limited slips that appeared as OE equipment. Steel clutch plates, half of which are covered with a friction lining material, are sandwiched behind the differential side gears inside the carrier housing. These plates are alternately tabbed to the carrier or splined to the axle shaft. The tabbed pieces are called plates and the splines are called discs. The side gears are preloaded with springs placed between the side gears. This preload provides greater traction to both axles. In a turning situation, the Dura Grip allows a speed differential mostly because the torque loads will be low enough to allow the differential to operate.

Yukon Gear & Axle (“Yukon”) warrants the original purchaser that all Yukon products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the periods shown herein. Yukon makes no other warranty of any kind, express or implied. All other warranties, including but not limited to an implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are excluded. This warranty is offered provided that the Yukon product has been installed and maintained in accordance with Yukon instructions, and that it has not been subject to modification, accident, abnormal use or misuse. At Yukon’s discretion, this warranty may be voided if installation of Yukon product(s) occurs on vehicles with tires that exceed Yukon maximum recommended tire size.

Upon notification of a warranty claim, Yukon shall investigate the claim of defect and, in the event of a verified defect, shall, at its sole choice, either repair the defective product, replace it, or refund the purchase price.

This warranty does not cover, and Yukon shall not be liable for, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of time, inconvenience, loss of vehicle use, or damage to personal property (including loss or damage to vehicle parts due to the failure of the Yukon product). This warranty does not cover damage to the axle caused by or facilitated by failure of a non-Yukon component.

This agreement offers you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Yukon Warranty by Products

Spool - As long as the original purchaser owns vehicle in which Spool is originally installed. It is normal for Spools to cause tire chatter, squeal, or scrubbing when vehicle is not moving in a straight line. Both rear tires must measure the same height from ground to top of wheel for Spool to function properly without premature wear.

Super Joint - As long as original purchaser owns vehicle in which Super Joint is originally installed. Warranty coverage is for breakage of cross section or caps only. Failure by wear or galling is not covered.

YP - Series Products (other than Spool and Super Joint) - One (1) Year. Covers parts for one year against manufacturing defects.

Front Axle (1541H) - Ten (10) Years. Covers parts for ten years against manufacturing defects.

Rear Axle (1541H) - Ten (10) Years. Covers parts for ten years against manufacturing defects.

Rear Axle 4340 (YA W) - Limited Lifetime. Limited Lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects and axle breakage for as long as you own the vehicle. This warranty is not transferable to another party.

Front Axle (Series YA W) - Limited Lifetime. Limited Lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects and axle breakage for as long as you own the vehicle. This warranty is not transferable to another party.

Ring & Pinion Gear Set - One (1) Year. Warrantied against manufacturing defects for one (1) year.

Positraction Differential - One (1) Year. Exclusions apply, does not cover premature clutch wear or abuse. It is normal for Positraction differentials to cause tire chatter, squeal, or scrubbing when vehicle is not moving in a straight line. Both rear tires must measure the same height from ground to top of wheel for differential to function properly without premature wear. Limited slip additive or appropriate friction modifier must be used with oil to reduce Positraction chatter.

Zip Locker (YZL) - Six (6) Years. All Zip Lockers come with a six (6) year warranty against manufacturing defects.

Grizzly Locker (YGL) - One (1) Year. Covers the replacement of the unit and any collaterally damaged parts.

Yokes - One (1) Year Covers parts for one year against manufacturing defects.

Carriers (YC) - One (1) Year. Covers parts for one year against manufacturing defects.

Tools (YT) - One (1) Year. Covers parts for one year against manufacturing defects.

Install Kits - One (1) Year. Includes BK, MK, PK, and YK. Covers parts for one year against manufacturing defects.

Spider Gear Kits (YPK) - One (1) Year. One year against manufacturing defects. Exclusions apply, does not cover clutch wear in limited slip differentials.

Drive Flanges - Limited Lifetime. Limited Lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects and breakage for as long as you own the vehicle. This warranty is not transferable to another party.

Yukon Hardcore Locking Hubs - Limited Lifetime. Limited Lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects and breakage for as long as you own the vehicle. This warranty is not transferable to another party.

Had to leave out all shims on pinion shaft bearings to achieve correct gear lash, works great and sounds great driving on highway,no abnormal noise from rear end. Love it!
