The Pinnacle of Aftermarket Trailer Hitches
Tldr: Amazing product, great instructions, poor packaging My expectations were met wonderfully. The info provided both online before buying and in the instructions in the box allowed me (a very inexperienced DIYer) to get it all installed in less than 2 hours. The fit is very good, I attribute the slight tugging I had to do to make the third bolt line up to my 15 year old car rather than the hitch. It's a little heavy to maneuver alone, especially since you can't see all the bolts it needs to line up with at once. It also helps tremendously to get the car as high off the ground at possible. Taller jack stands will make the process much easier than shorter ones. The only disappointment I faced was with packaging. It's an oddly shaped, heavy, piece of solid metal. I was hoping for some foam or at least a healthy embrace of bubble wrap around the hitch inside the box. Instead, there were some cardstock sleeves on the 3 straight sections. That's it. The hitch slid around the shipping box freely, making two holes. No damage to the part, but this is a little disappointing.

This is a Really Nice Hitch
First I would say that my experience with TRUCKiD and the shipment from Curt were first class. The product arrived within a week of my order. My observation of the appearance of quality of the product seems quite impressive. Thick and heavy duty metal. The video indicated it was a one and a half hour job at most. Actually, it took me closer to ten hours but that was because of one glaring omission from the list of needed tools. You will definitely need a COBALT drill bit. A regular steel drill bit will have you spending four hours trying to drill one hole. Bottom line, be sure to purchase the 17/32 Cobalt drill bit before attempting this install. It costs approximately $35 as of the time of my review. Otherwise like me, you will spend hour upon hour simply trying to drill and enlarge a single hole in the incredibly hardened steel of the rear bumper support. I eventually ended up going to the hardware store for the Cobalt drill bit. After that it went like clockwork. Fortunately all the other holes in the car are predrilled by the car manufacturer. If I had that drill bit from the jump, I actually could have finished the job in two hours. Also, if you don't own a die grinder, simply purchase a cone shape carbide die grinder bit with a 1/4 inch shank that will fit into your drill. It worked like a champ to enlarge and elongate the hole from the 17/32 drill bit to accommodate the hardware for the bumper beam attachment. Also, they don't mention it but its best to disconnect the muffler from it's rubber hanger to reach some of the hitch attachment points but that only takes about 5 minutes. If you have trouble there are several videos on YouTube about the subject. Something about WD40 and channel lock pliers. All in all the experience was positive. Make sure to wear long sleeves, gloves and safety glasses when under the car drilling and grinding. Good luck!

Works well - But Rusts
I've had the hitch on my Mazda for 6 years in Canadian weather. It worked well pulling some very heavy trailors behind my Mazda which I appreciate. The only downside is that it really has gotten rusty, so I don't think the protective paint coating was done properly enough. Black paint and rust splotches are very visible everywhere now. But as I said, it is 6 years on.

Fit's Like a Glove
Bolted right up to me 2016 Scion iM. Like it was custom made just for it! Also got the Curt wiring set. Qaulity components and materials. Wouldn't buy anything else, more than worth the extra couple bucks over competition. No doubt.

Great for Mountain Biking
I primarily got this hitch for hauling my bikes because folding down the back seats gets old really fast. This hitch is easy to install if you use Windex or something else to lubricate the exhaust mounts. I didn't pull the rear bumper and just used the fish tape, just be careful not to push the bolts into the frame once you remove the fish tape. With a 200 lb tonnage weight 4 bikes should be no problem as long as they aren't all downhill bikes. Very happy with my purchase, I would highly recommend.

Great Hitch
The Curt hitch was installed on a 2004 VW Jetta. Install was very easy there was no need to remove any exhaust parts to drill the holes in the vehicle. Took around 30 min and was performed with the vehicle on the ground no need to hoist. Quality is great for the price and the included receiver was the perfect height for the trailer. Fast shipping received it the following day.
