    TrekStep™ Flip Down Passenger Side-Mount Truck Bed Step by Bestop®. Finish: Textured Black. Get easy access to the side of your truck bed with the TrekStep. The spring loaded TrekStep extends with a push of your foot when it's needed, and retracts out of the way with another push when it's not. With linkage made of high strength, die-cast aluminum alloy, and the step made of high strength extruded aluminum with a powdercoated, non-skid stepping surface, the TrekStep mounts to the truck frame with no drilling required. The side-mount TrekStep has a 300 lb load rating.

    If you'd like easy access to bed mounted tool boxes and other gear from the side of your truck, you need a TrekStep. The TrekStep is the easy to use answer to convenient truck bed access that drops down for use with the push of your foot, and back up under the side panel with another push. The TrekStep is great for reaching bed mounted tool boxes and other gear at the front and sides of the truck bed that would otherwise require getting into the bed to access. The side-mount TrekStep has a 300 lb. load capacity.

    To prevent wet or muddy shoes and boots from slipping, the extruded aluminum step has a non-skid textured black powdercoated finish. The aluminum alloy and high strength steel linkage bolts directly to the frame, with no drilling required. The TrekStep comes with all necessary hardware and comprehensive, illustrated installation instructions. It's covered by a limited 3-year/36,000 mile warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

    So Far So Good
    Installation is pretty straight forward. With proper tools at the most it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes. Design and functionality seems good. I'm little leary of the spring(s) being strong enough to hold it up when driving so we will see. It's definitely easier to climb into the bed. I got bad knees which was why I purchased it. FYI: if you have an aftermarket bumper you will need to source hardware. It uses the factory nuts, but the hardware my aftermarket bumper came with is a large diameter. I needed roughly 1/2" longer bolts to fit the washer and ensure enough threads.

    Pay to Have it Done
    Great step. I bought this to save a hundred dollars or so. I think the YouTube says 30 minute installation. Plus 2.5 hours and a LOT of cussing. Only two frame bolts to replace, but the they were located in a channel the holds the back bumper. Had to use tape on the wrench to hold the nuts in place while contorting myself so install the bolts. 3.25 hours. Might be easier if I was 20 yrs younger. Or, if I was I'd screw something up by throwing things in frustration. But, Nice step once installed. Next time I'd spend the hundred to have someone else do it.

    Great Product, Easy Install
    This step is a great addition to your truck. Appears very well made and designed. Very easy to install. The only issue was the condition of the package from the shipping. Package/box was torn up real bad. All the parts were there but the box was wide open when I received it.

    Very Convenient
    When I first saw the advertisement I knew this was an accessory I needed to have. Installation was relatively easy. The brackets bolted up to existing holes and studs in the bumper and frame. The product performs as advertised except the location of the step is almost directly below the left edge of the tailgate and for ease of utilization I had to slide the step on the mounting bracket all the way to the left. Without the step moved all the way to the left, it would come in contact with the tailpipe. Durability will be time tested as I weigh in at 230# and when I position my foot on the step it is on the outside edge. Hope this holds up over time.

    Well Worth The Price
    Looks more expensive, still new, but workings is really smooth real quality.Instructions and installation was a snap would have taken only five minutes to install, but I had to buy a 13mm deep socket. Would highly recommend.
