Product Details

Severe Duty Electronic Engine Cooling Fan Clutch by Hayden®. Rotation: Reverse. Installation

The ECM/PCM signal controls the level of engagement of an electronic-viscous fan clutch. When the solenoid in the fan clutch is energized, it opens a spring loaded valve and allows silicone drive fluid to flow from the storage reservoir to the working area of the unit, increasing fan speed. When the solenoid is de-energized, the valve closes and blocks the path of the fluid to the working area, reducing fan speed. The engagement process is controlled through the ECM/PCM by the input variables such as coolant temperature, transmission oil temperature, intake manifold temperature, A/C pressure, and engine oil temperature. If your fan spins excessively when the engine is stopped, the A/C performance is poor at idle or low vehicle speeds, or you feel vibration that increases with the engine speed, these are the signs of the failed fan clutch. This warranty covers defects arising under normal use and does not cover malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, or incorrect maintenance.

During the warranty period, Hayden Automotive will repair or replace, at no charge, a product that is defective in materials or workmanship. Hayden Automotive reserves the right to either repair or replace a defective component at its discretion and reserves the right to substitute an equivalent product under the terms of this warranty.

Shorty Clutch Fan

Finally, a real close replacement for the extinct Street hemi clutch fan. Works great on all 60's Mopar 383, 426 and 440 engine applications where clearance is an issue. I have used these on 55' Chevies and some 60's "f.e. " Ford applications. Nice piece!

Perfect shape from decent brand like hayden. Not every thing smaller mean weaker. No problem yet than the ex-fan clutch.
