    Product Details

69 Series Typhoon Aluminum Silver Cold Air Intake System by K&N®. Gain a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque with a K&N cold air intake system featuring a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube. Each system is paired with a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter™ featuring oiled cotton filter media. The oversized, conical filter design allows you to go up to 100,000 miles between filter services under normal highway driving conditions.

    Installation

The K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake Kit increases airflow to your engine, raises horsepower and enhances your engine's appearance. The airflow improvement starts with an oversized conical high-flow K&N air filter, installed in place of the restrictive factory airbox. The large increase in filter area over the stock airbox filter results in a huge increase in airflow and a greater capacity to capture and hold dirt.

The increased airflow continues with a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube in place of the factory air path. The intake tube comes in 3 different designs. It comes as a dedicated Cold Air (CA) intake, a Short Ram (SR) intake, or a Complete Cold Air (CCA) that can be configured as either a Short Ram or Cold Air intake. The Cold Air intake positions the air filter outside the engine compartment, to draw in the coolest air possible. Cooler engine air inlet temperatures result in more power. The Short Ram intake system is located entirely within the engine compartment, where it's easily accessible. The Complete Cold Air intake is unique in that in case of inclement weather, the cold air tube can be removed and the filter relocated to a short ram tube, to prevent the engine from ingesting water.

The aluminum intake tube is available in various finishes to enhance your engine bay. All components are mounted and connected with high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon, to ensure long life. Every 69 Series Typhoon Intake Kit comes complete with everything necessary for installation, including comprehensive installation instructions. The K&N filter can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required. And the K&N air filter is guaranteed for one million miles.

    Easy Install And Sounds Amazing
Sounds fantastic on the 2.0t Stinger. The install was very easy. Hardest part was putting the padding trim around the air box housing. Looks fantastic under the hood. And K&N air filters are cleanable and reusable so no more air filter worries.

Looks great on my car and when VTEC kicks in it cracks and sounds amazing and the quality of this is amazing. If i would have another car or recommend a filter system I would rate 10/10 for someone else to get this product.

    Quality
Finishing wasn't that great weld spills inside the pipe. Performance wise i got some low end back and cured some high end choke so money well spent. P.s its very loud, if you don't mind shouting at times then its good. Way better then the K&N drop in.

    Pleased
High quality, good looking, more aggressive sound and not too loud. Other reviews mention problems with the 7" hose. I believe this results from the position the elbows end up in when tight. There is enough hose and an elbow allowing for alternative fitments. Also, time is lost and frustration is gained with small parts are dropped and end up on the panel under the engine.
