71 Series Blackhawk Induction® Aluminum Textured Black Cold Air Intake System by K&N®. The K&N Blackhawk Induction Air Intake System is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air intake system that is guaranteed to gain power. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing on some vehicles. This low restriction air intake allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than it would from the stock air intake. More air means more power and acceleration.

Installation

K&N® - 71 Series Blackhawk Induction® Air Intake System Installation Instruction

This K&N Blackhawk Induction Air Intake System comes with black components including the K&N high-flow air filter and heat shield. The attractive textured black powder-coated tube features a welded, engraved K&N plate giving you a clean, high-performance look under the hood. The intake tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor, EVAP hose and crank case vent hose. The oversized cone shaped air filter is made from an oil-free synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less using the existing factory mounting points using commonly available tools.

Waste of Money

If you are interested in buying this product and are not happy with it forget returning it. They won't take it once installed. The drone is deafening. Highway speeds make you not want to drive. Worse gas mileage, no increase in performance, worst $350 I ever threw down the drain.

Easy Power

Done plenty of cold air intakes in the past, but this is by far the biggest improvement I've seen. Truck now feels snappy, and feels more powerful. Install was obviously super easy and maintenance on the filter is just as easy. Great product, also makes the truck whistle quite a bit, best money I've put into my truck so far.

Best CA Approved Intake

I have no mechanical abilities and installation for this product was easy. My Chevy Tahoe sounds louder and I can feel the difference on higher gears. Highly recommended.

Love It!

It sounds amazing and immediately noticed a horsepower gain just pulling into the street. The best gains were the horsepower in the power band of my truck. The absolute worse part of the installation was the removal of the old brackets holding the stock intake, it took me almost 2 hours because of some rusty bolts, but the K&N intake went together in about a half hour.

Never without One

I’ve put a K&N intake on just about every vehicle I’ve owned for the past 2 decades. It woke my 5.3 Silverado out of its funk and the Blackhawk edition is the best looking version I’ve owned. Very happy.

Too Easy!

It took about 45 minutes from start to finish! The K&N filter and hardware looks like it came on the truck. It looks and sounds better, all around satisfaction.
