The typical truck bed takes a beating, with cargo routinely dumped, heaved and thrown inside. And if you miss or something falls over, there go the bed rails or tailgate. Protect your truck and preserve its appearance, or cover up existing damage and regain those great looks with Tailgate Caps.

Custom designed for each application, to ensure a perfect fit. They’ll follow every contour of your bed rails and wrap around the ends for full protection. And unlike competitors’ plastic products, these caps are made from tough, durable, heavy gauge 0.064” aluminum for the ultimate in damage resistance. Plus, the aluminum is highly polished and given a diamond plate finish that is so appealing, you’ll want to install these caps just for the way they look.

And you’ll have these great looks for many years to come. Tailgate cap install with the included stainless steel fasteners, which along with the caps’ aluminum construction, ensures you ‘ll never see any rust. The bed rail caps and tailgate cap are sold separately, but both are covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to the original purchaser as long as he or she owns the vehicle on which the product is installed.

What Is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship except paint and painting on all Lund International, Inc.'s Lund International, AVS®, Lund®, Nifty® and Deflecta-Shield® Accessories branded products properly installed per provided instructions except those listed below under the One-Year Warranty, Two-Year Warranty or Three-Year Warranty. This warranty does not apply to any product from Lund International's direct or indirect subsidiaries.

For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle on which the product is installed. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

Limited One-Year Warranty

What Is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship on all Pro-Line® branded replacement carpets - Challenger™, Ultima™ and Contender™ branded storage boxes - All Cargo Management products except the Folding Aluminum Ramp, Folding Aluminum Arched Ramp, Bi-Fold Ramps and Tri-Fold Ramps properly installed per provided instructions.

For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last one year from the date of purchase. Limited Two-Year Warranty

What Is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship except paint, painting or powder coating on Seal-Tite™ branded storage boxes properly installed per provided instructions.

For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last two years from the date of purchase. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

Limited Three-Year Warranty

What Is Covered: All defects in materials or workmanship except paint and painting on the Stainless Interceptor™, Folding Aluminum Ramp, Folding Aluminum Arched Ramp, Bi-Fold Ramps and Tri-Fold Ramps properly installed per provided instructions.

For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last three years from the date of purchase. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

What Lund International Will Do: During the applicable warranty period listed above, Lund International will, at its option replace any defective product at no charge. You must pay any labor charges associated with removing or reinstalling the product. If a specific product has been discontinued, Lund International may, at its option, replace your product with a current product of comparable function and value.

What These Warranties Will Not Cover: These warranties do not cover any damage, defect, or malfunction caused by misuse, abuse, accident, improper installation, modification, improper or inadequate maintenance, or on-road and off-road hazards. Incidental and consequential damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states or provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.

How Does State Law Apply? This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province. This warranty statement supersedes all previous warranty statements in AVS®, Lund®, Nifty® and/or Deflecta-Shield® Accessories catalogs or other marketing materials.

Lund Tailgate Cap

The tailgate cap is cheap so I can't complain too much. It's easy to install. It has remained in position and covers the tailgate like it's supposed to.
