Product Details

Ceramic Button Transmission Clutch Kit (K70279-01CB) by Sachs®Ceramic Button set is suited for extreme towing needs or work truck setups. The Ceramic Button material increases torque carrying capacity and resist with heat much better than an organic material. Towing performance is increased greatly when compared to organic, but the tradeoff is in the clutch feel. Ceramic button discs tend to engage/disengage more sharply than organic, with the clutch pedal acting more like an on/off switch than a dial.

Installation

Sachs offers three different clutch kits for light and medium duty trucks: heavy duty, ceramic button and made with kevlar. The base kit is composed of the OE clutch system and is suited to be a direct substitute for the original clutch, offering the same performance. If you are running a stock setup and are towing within the vehicles rated capacity, this kit may be for you.

Warranty

SACHS warrants its clutch products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service as hereinafter provided, for twelve months after installation in a vehicle. SACHS’ obligation under this warranty is limited to providing, at no charge, a replacement for any part of such clutch product that fails within the terms of this warranty. SACHS will not be responsible for the cost of labor related to the installation of the replacement part. In order to obtain warranty service, the entire clutch assembly, including, the clutch cover assembly, the clutch driven disc, and the releaser along with proof of flywheel resurfacing or flywheel replacement, must be returned to an authorized SACHS distributor, with proof of purchase, work order, full particulars as to the type of use, application, and length of service of the failed part. All returns must include proof that the flywheel was either replaced or resurfaced. This warranty does not cover failure or malfunctions resulting from use for high performance or racing purposes, accidents, improper application or installation, modification, alteration, improper servicing, tampering, normal wear and tear or abuse. Any implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose shall be limited in duration to the period of the time set forth above. SACHS shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages and its liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the product. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. This is the only express warranty applicable to SACHS clutch products; SACHS neither assumes nor authorizes anyone to assume for it any other express warranty.

SACHS Clutch Warranty Minimum Requirements

In order to qualify for the SACHS 12-month warranty, the following materials must be provided to the SACHS Authorized Distributor.

Proof of purchase

All kit components: disc, release bearing, pressure plate

Proof of flywheel resurfacing or replacement with new flywheel

Application information: vehicle make/model/year, length of service and failed part information

The following are examples of what will not be covered under the SACHS limited 12-month warranty:

Discs with damaged splines

Any part worn beyond normal use

Unit showing excessive rust, dust, grease or oil

Cover with broken or bent drive straps

Discs with misaligned hubs

Discs or release bearings that were installed backwards

It Was Okay but Good Quality

Bearing came damaged, but the overall quality was excellent, has the same friction material as OEM. Does not include clutch aligning tool, but was able to properly align it by eye.

Paid a shop to put it on. So far so good. Only time will tell. It is a significant improvement to my almost bare clutch.

Can't Beat the Quality
