    The drops of water in fog reflect the light back at you when you turn on regular headlights, which doesn’t help much when you’re trying to grope your way through a fog bank. Fog lights are mounted closer to the ground and aimed downward to direct their light at the roadway, reducing the glare created from reflected light. Fog lights illuminate the road directly in front of the vehicle, so you can stay on your side of the yellow line and off the shoulder when driving at a speed appropriate to conditions. Being able to see where you’re going is key to safe driving, making fully functional fog lights important to your vision.     How Do They Look?

    Spyder Factory Style Fog Lights
    Purchased these fog lights for my 2018 Camry XSE and had them installed at my local Toyota dealer. THEY LOOK FANTASTIC!!! Even the dealer commented on how good they look. They are bright, and definitely add greater vision at night. The addition of these fog lights have given my Camry some TRUCKiD!

    Good buy but issuss eventually hit.
    I installed these foglights on my fj cruiser more or less a little over a year ago. Since then no issues with them at all with one exception! THE PAINT! PAINT QUICKLY FADED TO GOOD THEN TOTALLY FELL OFF. Only lasted a few short months in their beautiful matching silver. Other than that I love them!

    They're Okay. For The Most Part.
    I've had these on maybe a year ( more or less) absolutely no paint left on them. They very quickly faded to gold on then the paint fell right off both of them! Other than that no issues.

    Certainly Not High-End Upgrades
    First they are not an exact replacement. The are not as deep at the OEM. The mount holes don't line up the exact same as the OEM, but you can bend the plastic to get them to mount up. They have universal bullet plug that will have to be wired and soldered into the OEM harness. Not a big deal, just hoping they would plug right in to the factory bulb plug. Then there is the color! The center of the beam is blue-ish, about 8000-9000k. The next ring of color is mostly white, about 5000-6000k. And the far outside is yellow, 3000-4000K. Most of the light is white, but the blue center is very noticeable. If aimed down, you can't really see the blue as the hood is in the way. But aimed slightly up or straight and it comes in to view. The output is good. It is a round beam and will shine into oncoming traffic, but you really shouldn't run fog lights in oncoming traffic.

    Bad Switch
    The lights themselves look great on the truck and fit perfectly. The wiring instructions are fairly generic and the wire colors on the instructions do not match the colors on the harness itself but was still pretty easy to figure out. The only issue we have is with the switch. It seems to be very cheaply made and the one sent with our package will not always lock in the on position. Hopefully TRUCKiD or Spyder makes this right. The warantee process is a little more involved than I think it should be but hopefully this issue is rectified quickly.

    Condensation Problems
    Although the product looked great upon installation, the next day both lights had condensation in them and still do.

    Nice Looking Fog Lights
    Look great on my 2002 Dodge Dakota. Haven't driven enough in the dark to know how bright they really are. Installation: started out rough. Where to put the wire harness through the engine firewall. I decided to scrap the new wire harness and use the existing one (SLT models have fog lights, fuse and relay). I cut all four wires and spliced them together. Some electrical tape and zip ties, everything seems good. Fuse has the same amps. Relay, not sure looks the same and everything has been fine for 3 weeks. I recommend them. As far as stars go - appearance - 5, installation - could be anywhere from 3 to a 5, price/value - so far money well spent. Massive upgrade over stock. Quality - all around they look good, but I have to wait and see if they last.
