These high-grade Spyder fog lights are designed to cut through the heavy fog and light up the surface of the road ahead so you can see well enough to stay on the road and within their lane. In addition to fog and mist, these highly efficient fog lights are also useful where there are substantial amounts of snow and dust on the road.
Installation
The drops of water in fog reflect the light back at you when you turn on regular headlights, which doesn’t help much when you’re trying to grope your way through a fog bank. Fog lights are mounted closer to the ground and aimed downward to direct their light at the roadway, reducing the glare created from reflected light. Fog lights illuminate the road directly in front of the vehicle, so you can stay on your side of the yellow line and off the shoulder when driving at a speed appropriate to conditions. Being able to see where you’re going is key to safe driving, making fully functional fog lights important to your vision. These LED Fog Lights will provide the added safety factor of fog lights combined with the superior illumination of LEDs, for the ultimate aid to your vision in foul weather.
The small compact size of LED lights makes them easy to group together, and when assembled in this manner, are more luminous than comparable incandescent bulbs; the brighter the light, the better you can see and the more visible your vehicle becomes. And because they produce no heat during operation, you can install them anywhere. LED lights are extremely durable, with an average lifespan of 50,000-75,000 hours, which means they’ll probably outlast the rest of your vehicle. The light they produce is much brighter and cleaner, much more attractive than incandescent light. LEDs are also extremely vibration resistant, an ideal quality for a light mounted on a motor vehicle.
Every Spyder light undergoes a rigorous testing and quality control process before it leaves the factory. All wiring is tested to make sure the light is completely functional, and the housing is sealed with high quality silicone to ensure that no moisture can become trapped inside. Spyder lights are approved by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), and ISO-9000 and ISO-9002 certified. They meet all U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and are compliant with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108. Most Spyder fog lights come with comprehensive instructions to guide you through the installation, which includes detailed wiring information where applicable.
