    Product Details

Black Powder Coat Tail Light Guards by SteelCraft®, 1 Pair. The rear light guards proclaim the rough and tumble readiness of your vehicle, making clear that this is no soccer mom bus. The SteelCraft rear light guards stand off from the vehicle to make a clear statement. Easy installation.

    Installation

It is true. It is not often you damage the rear lights. It does happen, and today's advanced rear light assemblies are quite pricey. Mounting tail light guards is much cheaper and does protect your tail lights from shopping carts and if you suffer a light rear-ending. This provides a good excuse when you really yearn for the great style of tail light guards. The SteelCraft tail light guards are the most stylish of all, with their thin profile cage and the way they really stand out from the vehicle to give that true, rugged protective cage look.

    2009 Jeep Liberty Taillight Guard
Took over a month to get them. Seems that it was a made to fit product. Received them packaged well. Seems like it took longer to get the box open and each of them unpacked than it did to install them. The only caveat is that the lower left mounting arm rubs a little on the hatch edge. I tried a few different things but couldn't get it adjusted to not rub. The other 3 points of potential rubbing are clear. Chatted with a couple guys on a Jeep forum that had the same issue. One said he just used a rubber mallet and "adjusted" it to fit. The other spoke with an "engineer" at Steelcraft and he returned the item. Not sure if he reordered them or not. Guess I'll have to get a rubber mallet and try a little "attitude adjustment" myself. For someone who orders them, the one thing I would do when installing them is do a quick check of the rub areas before pitching the packaging.

    It Does NOT Fit Perfectly
I agree with the previous review, the light guards are easy to install but they do not fit as perfectly as one would hope. If I try to attach the small bracket it pushes the guard in so much that I can't close the door without damaging it. I decided not to use them and they more or less fit without any issues but they do stick out a little bit and I don't have that extra support so if I was to hit the guard would completely bend in.

    It Does NOT FIT Perfectly
Overall quality is fine. But it does not fit perfectly. I cannot attach 3rd bracing to my stock tail lights. Is needed to create a new one.

    Looking Good
Just a little bit of confusion about delivery. Except for the passenger side which requires adjustment, installation was easy. Other than that it looks good on my 2013 Toyota Tacoma.
